Obvious gil farming, or FC house reselling

What fantasy world are you living in? Do you seriously think that people aren't laundering Medium/Large houses still?

A very small minority is. An extremely tiny minority, because it's been made so annoying to do, and also new wards opened so there is not much point to it anymore, Dynamis also opened for NA which helped a lot of people get their favorite plots.

Just because houses are still available on some servers. doesn't give them the right to take houses on populated servers that they have zero intentions of using.

Actually, it very much does, any house available is up for grab for anybody that wants it, sorry to break your little bubble. And even more so, if they want to leave the garden fully empty with only an aetheryte cristal, they can.

Also why does gil have anything to do with FC rank 20? All you have to do is earn company seals. My FC on Maduin achieved rank 20 with 4 people in not even 5 days. Try doing that solo, 8 times over. That would be an absurd grind just so you could buy more houses.

Exactly why it shouldnt happen.

While I do agree that housing should be accessible for the majority of people who desire it, I think it would be an easy measure to place more restrictions on FC's that would make housing easily obtainable by real FC's, and make it far harder for solo FC's to purchase themselves a second house, or to poach mediums/larges for resale.
