I literally have no clue what that game even is, I am talking about the most popular MMO's and as far as I am aware there is no npc combat involved in dungeon nor would it be a welcome feature, also having npcs to fight WITH you in the world is fine because its just a damage helper, however dungeons are.. dungeons, and it shouldnt be encouraged to play it with NPC's.

if Blizzard ever got the brains and initiative to put NPC teams into dungeons as an alternative to actual player groups?? There would be an absolute STAMPEDE as people who are utterly SICK TO DEATH of the current toxic environment would seize this option with both hands .

The part of "having people around without the need to be social" hits so deep. Humans are social by nature and it feels good to know there's other people close by going about their business but interacting with them requires effort and sensibility. Yeah I am so behind the times playing an MMORPG to play with other people and play with my friends, I am very sorry to be such a boomer that I dont treat an MMORPG as a single player game and that I want to actually play the game with friends and actual people instead of just NPC's

I have nothing to think about, I know what an MMORPG is for, and so does every single one of my friend that I play with, if they want to do a certain piece of content on their main or on their alt, either they ask on discord or they just duty finder it, they dont play with NPC's, your vision of an MMORPG is flawed and the fact you think I have a "2004 mindset" is just you actually being delusional, convincing yourself that you are right, while you are not. Time has not changed the definition of an MMORPG.

I will gladly enjoy my "2004 mindset" and play with friends and real players, thank you very much. I play an MMORPG to have contact with people, not play with NPC's.

have to agree with you on this. sure, it may have changed, doesnt mean we need to like the change.

plenty of single player games out there for people who want that kind of thing. for me, the changes towards a more solo game is not sitting overly well, but we will see how far they take it.

This is a finding that we can only fear and that is not new, the pve content has been drastically reduced in the game and unfortunately I doubt that they will return to the stormblood formula,
and it's been since shadowbringer that some people have been reporting it, but since endwalker is a nameless drought in terms of pve content and mainly grind content absent in endwalker ,people reporting it only now.
