    Why do we have to reduce stuff again every time a raider gets inconvenienced again? It's balance, homogeneous jobs and DPS or bust enough?

What is even the point of abilities with a certain reach if you turn around and make them as big as the arena? Might as well just spawn that thing in the middle whenever you use it.     I assume the suggestion is that we just have a clientside option to reduce it's vertical reach, turning the 'dome' into more of a 'flatter dome', like so:



    And since it's clientside, you can still keep your pluz-size domes if you so chose. Kinda like how you can reduce Bahamut's size if his wings are obstructing your view.

    As for the actual size of the bubbles now, I'm not entirely sure who was asking for them to be galactic sized. I hear that it was a nuisance to mitigate in TOP P3 because of the size/how far apart the party has to be spread but... people worked around it and cleared regardless, right? And what is Ultimate if not the content where 'find a way to work around it' is the name of the game? Should SE have made TenChiJin useable while moving, because some NINs died in UCOB to Twister using it?

    Considering that turning off all effects end up hiding the doom entirely, would it be an acceptable alternative to merely put a green highlight on the floor where positive effects currently are, as a compromise so that even with effects completely off, people would have a general idea where it's acceptable to stand in for positive effects. Despite how large the dome spells have become, there are still arenas slightly bigger than its AoE that people could be outside of its radius and whether its intentional or simply because they have all effects turned off, I think it would be a positive change overall, even if I feel the buff was excessive and wholly unnecessary.

    You heard that OP? You better turn all the effects off, and if you die to a raidwide because you were not stood in the very small cone of the Passage of Arms you could not see that's tough beans, you are NOT allowed to complain

    /s big time, btw. Considering as I said before, I've raided with someone who had their effects off, and that caused them to die to raidwides they could have lived through, which in turn means potentially dying to enrages in Savage because of it... Yeh, saying 'don't complain' is not the play. Especially when we have other stuff that people complain about that is WAY lower on the priority scale but seems to get more attention. Like the stupid chair drama. SE didn't do anything, sure, but all the youtubers jumped on their chance to give their un-requested take on it. Can they talk about how some people have difficulty seeing mechanics because of the size of the domes now?

    What if placing the dome on the floor, made the VFX of the 'stand in this circle to not die' in P11 disappear, because the VFX of the dome overwrote the circle? It doesn't, but hypothetically speaking. Is the solution to 'turn off battle effects and stop complaining', or is it for SE to design stuff in a way that doesn't force the option to turn the effects off?

    Yes. This would pretty much solve it. Cross post from another another thread (EX6 under spoiler just in case).

    The top of the dome bugs me the most as certain mechs requires you to look at the boss animation; or the outer sides of arena. The color being almost samey doesn't help either for this particular fight.

    I can live with it and still do the fight no problem. It's only a minor annoyance.

    Exactly my thoughts. I'm not suggesting remove the effect entirely, rather switching from the dome to a flat ground marker for limited or even off. Trying to keep a tab on P12 tethers with soil and asylum down at the moment is a bit of a mess. Switching the reduced mode visuals to a flat style like NPCs tend to use would help ease that.

    I was encountering the same issue during gales, have to turn my camera weird to make things out through the bubbles. Can’t turn effects all the way off as has been mentioned already, would be cool if there was a ground display only option
