The shiny ultimate weapons are special because they are earned through an achievement. Heard many stories of people buying clears (Against ToS) and regretting it later because it wasn't a great investment as they thought they would be. Pretty sure I saw something on reddit where someone bought a TEA clear, had buyers remorse, and went back in and progged it themselves.

Same for the rewards in savage. They are cool because you had to achieve something to get them. And for casual players like yourself, you don't have to worry anyway. Savage gets incredibly easier with time, so if you can't accomplish the task now, you can much later with an unsynced easy fight .

I just reject the premise that savage is hard. Ultimates, sure.

Sure, savage is the first content that isn't a walking simulator, and I don't expect a random person off the street to clear it week 1--but some people can, and do. But if you want it, it's free.

I say this as someone who wanted a weapon that wouldn't clip into a very large hat, and so set out to get the p4s whm weapon as my first tier, which while not particularly fast, I did get on-content, and was not that hard.

Go watch a video guide and join pf or find a static. Congrats on your mount.

I don't know what planet you're on. Most people without jobs can't afford a sub. When I raided, all my teammates had jobs. Full time job jobs. And those who didn't have full time jobs had gig work that had the hours of full time jobs. We met twice a week for 2-3 hours each, and while we didn't clear the whole tier due to inconsistent attendance (which was due to things not job related), we pretty consistently would clear the first three fights. All you need is 3-6 hours a week for a couple of months.

And I saw your other comments about how people who have decent work should be able to plunk down $18. I'm far above minimum wage, full time, but I'm still not allowing myself that because I have to budget for other critical things. Clearly if you can drop $18 without batting an eye you have a very high paying job. Good for you. You got lucky in the game of life. Many people aren't as lucky. I don't know why, from a business perspective, they didn't put the cute mount on the store, but I say all the power to SE for their choice. It's totally fine to have as a Savage reward, because Savage raiders don't just deserve "crappy" or "ugly" things. Like me, some raiders go for it for beautiful gear and mounts and we wouldn't have it any other way.
