Player Poll, The Viera Movement.

I'd actually hoped Viera would be the replacement race for Mithra going from FFXI to FFXIV. Miqo'te are good in their own right, but I would have really loved being able to create a Viera. Having said that, I'm not sure the two can coexist within FFXIV... I personally voted for Viera, but I feel like most folks would rather see a beastman race like lizard/draconian. Here's hoping I'm wrong!

I like the race differences that Ivalice brought to the table, and would like to see more races in the game, both playable and as NPCs.

Both the Viera and the dragon type race sounds very exciting to me.

To the people who suggested banga: You're sick. Lol. We have Roegadyn to take the place of ugly, semi-monsterous race, thank you very much. I'd love to play as a Viera and I'm certain they can fit in very well in FFXIV's aesthetics far greater than an ugly, scaled freak. I know FF is full of ugly sclaed freaks but they would fit the bill as beast tribe kill-on-sight mobs not as playable characters. It would in some ways ruin the beauty of our playable races. This is all just an opinion but I'm sure there are many out there somewhere that agree.

1.) They're really awesome aesthetically speaking, good proportions, great mix of animal/human features, etc.

2.) I love their lore, being spiritual creatures who are sensitive to magical energy. Compared to Miqo'te (Mithra) who are mostly hunters/fighters in lore and more savage/physical in nature.

Also, please never introduce a one gender race again, especially in MMOs.

^ This. This is a P2P(should still remain F2P until 2.0- not like Square Enix can't afford to pay for their own renovations in my honest opinion) not a typical poorly made Korean f2p with gender locked races and classes. Also, to the person who posted male Viera picture: I love you.

as much as I love the Viera I think a darker/grittier/menacing race would be nice, something from an unknown land. A demon type with wings, horns, spiked tail. We have the bulky Galka, cutesy Lalas, generic hyrs, slender Eleze, and animal sexy/cute Miqs (which adding Viera seems pointless considering they're basically the same but tall with bunny ears). We need something that s set apart from the other races, even though the Viera would be nice to look at like the Miqs.
