Why does War need to be the highest dps tank again?

When it already has so much else going?
Shortest invuln cooldown, Double cc resist, best (Ogcd) self healing, good mit, simplest, most consistent damage rotation and the most forgiving melding. Since they decided to bring it's damage up to beyond all the others, how about we start taking some things away to actually make it balanced?

War doesn't need to be the best at everything.
I don't want to feel forced to play this boring ass job.

Where are you seeing that it's the highest DPS tank. GNB is better on the latest trial at the top.

That being said I agree that tank self-healing/HPS needs to be nerfed by at least 75%.

Also not sure why you feel the need to play WAR. If it's for w1 prog the first thing composition-wise you should be doing is kicking your RDM/SMN and finding a BLM because no other choice remotely matters as much as that insane discrepancy (and likely once you get a BLM w1 damage checks become non-existent since presumably the only reason why they overtuned BLM is probably because they can't play it and misinterpret top p6 data and likely tuned savage to undervalue blm).

Always look at 99th percentile and the actual top 30-ish ranks.

50th, 75th percentiles are contaminated by skill issues and is not an accurate portrayal of the actual damage capacity of jobs.
