What is the point of that whole 1 piece of gear per week

It's not that they are okay with it, it's that they understand. Games want to spread out your activity over a number of weeks so everyone doesn't do the content the first day and then log off for months making the game dead. Instead they will spend 1-2 months then log off, which takes them to the next sub-patch.

If you login to do the content on the 5th week and nobody is in the queue for the raids that isn't so good for people wanting to clear for the first time. The queues already take a long time when the raid is old so when the majority of people are doing it, in the first two months, they want to give people a reason to do it over a number of weeks.

But i dont think the raids will be that dead later on I just did P1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 today for P1 to p8 I was the only first timer in the group and it just took me 5min to 10min to find a group if they so wish to not make the raids dead why not make the relic about raid grind or just an event special reward for new people that do it and people that comes back to it to create some hype could just be lv 1 glams or replicas of the raids gear

Why everyone is so okay with that ? Like really 7 weeks for a weapon REALLY? I honestly don't care about the stats but the design is cool so I wanted to start raiding to have it quick because I think the fans did a great job designing them they look like relics almost but when I saw that it was still 1 fragment per week im sorry but who thought it was a good idea You pay this game monthly and you play just 15min for a piece and log out or hang out naked at limsa? You guys are fine with that? to not play the game you paid monthly just so everyone as the chance to have it at the same time. I can understand people work I work too and that the whole point i would like to finish what I can when I got time to do so. Maybe thats their way to prevent everyone to finish the poor content we have every 5 month in 2 days

It's the most important piece during gear progression and it's being gated behind either timing, or trying your luck at clearing a Savage fight because what would be the point of having gear progression if everything was easily handed in a few weeks and we had our choice over what to pick first at all times?

I assure you that keeping it gated is not gating raid progression, at all. the biggest gate towards clearing content is to not die dumb deaths. Or not get killed by a player doing something dumb. Early clearers clear without a tomestone weapon, and later clearers... Well a weapon won't save them from themselves.

It's literally just that it's the biggest reward you could gain so it's locked behind the biggest test of patience or effort in the game short of clearing the last Savage floor. It seems pretty natural to me.

As to paying the game to AFK at Limsa and not play, first I don't see how it is in any way tied to the tomestone weapon, second if that's what you like to do, or everything you can imagine yourself doing, well definitely a you problem.

See this reason makes no sense as if we could get more than 1 piece per week or more than 450 seals id play more to gear up all my classes. Whereas atm I log off after getting my weeklys and go play another game. Which in turn makes me pay less on 14 as I occasionally get into the other game instead.

I would be okay with that if the game didn't have a sub forcing you to progress as much as you can in a month as for afk player its just because I have a lot of friends that are in this situation where they want to be done with patch so they can like Yoshi-P said "Play other games" but they try to enjoy FF still because they paid for the whole month so all they do is log in and chat because they are done with everything they like its sad
