Because what DRK lacks in self-heals it makes up for in the extreme strength of its shield, TBN. That's a unique thing about DRK and it is a post like this that could homogenize them more.

But even then the stats on FFlogs does take mitigation into account in healing numbers. I don't see how a shield you use situationally is worth the low HPS when other tanks don't have as much situation mitigation and healing.

TBN is on a 15s CD vs the other tanks having a 25s CD for their short CD abilities plus because it's a shield vs a mitigation CD the DRK doesn't take any damage until it gets through the extra 25% hp shield while the other tanks are going to take the damage immediately.
