The key thing that separates a solid, irrefutable data point from an irrelevant anecdotal blip that hardly represents anything is whether or not it affirms the positions of the toxic casuals.
You'll note that Lucky Bancho, for example, is great if it implies people enjoy bad game design, and a non-representative survey that hardly captures true playerbase data when it doesn't.
this is what you get when a bunch of squeaky wheels get together and post.
I too think Eureka was hot Garbage.
But I wouldn't call it "The Worse Content" if I did then I couldnt possibly have loved The Bozjan Southern Front, which I loved the HELL out of. Because lol, its basically the same type of content.
The only ONE thing I liked about Eureka, was The Baldesion Arsenal.
I think that is the only REAL Raid ever put into FFXIV, and Im bummed we didnt get one on the same level in Bozja.
Even though Castrum Lacus Litore, Delubrum Reginae, & Dalriada were all pretty good.
Don’t ask questions, just consume product and get excited for next products.
Isn't DRS basically the same as BA?I too think Eureka was hot Garbage.

I feel like this is a point often overlooked. I've been called a white knight and member of the Yoshi cult and all sorts of weird things because I still love the game. I have acknowledged its problems but after nearly 2 years of playing, Im still finding joy to be had in this game for hours at a time every day. Theres tons of minor issues and things I dont like in this game. Eureka, Bozja, Island Sancturary. They all fall short to me. But yet I am a white knight somehow. Lol.
A white knight is someone who's defending the company, not the game. Calling the game perfect because you wish to overlook its mistakes, calling criticism as not feedback will grant you that title. The guy you replied to is a certified troll who claims the game is "near perfect" which simply isn't true, considering people are frustrated with certain systems that can be improved upon. Just because it's criticism, it's not necessarily bad, and if positive feedback is being ignored on a colossal level, then all you have left are complaints as last resort criticism.I feel like this is a point often overlooked. You acknowledging there's issues in game means you are not a white knight, but a normal player, like the rest of us. There's a clear distinction.
Eureka and Bozja aren't really the same though, other than both falling under the exploratory mission tag. In Eureka you either were grinding trash mobs off in some corner for farming or NM spawning reasons, or you sat afk in town between nm pops. Eventually you could add bunny fates to this but that isn't exactly the most compelling content. Meanwhile in bozja there were always fates you could be doing and the boss fates were reasonably fun and more involved than most of the Eureka nms. And ce's were much, much better than that.I too think Eureka was hot Garbage.

Also nevermind how dogshit everything about Eureka was back when it was current content. A person doing Eureka now/post shb would have no idea how awful it was.
So fundamentally, Eureka's gameplay loop was inherently boring to me and bozja's was not. I have a lot of patience for fate grinding and 0 patience for random trash mob farming (between my time spent in EQ1 and FF11 I have literally 1000's of hours spent doing that and I never again wish to return).
I have no comment on BA, never did it because it was such a pain in the ass to get into back when this shit was current. It's on my bucket list of things to eventually do just because character power level in full BA gear is so high and that has some charm to it. But then on the other hand, I could only use it do more Eureka and no thanks. I like bozja and I still can't be assed to do DR savage or max out the merit points.
Yeah of course 90% of the white knights are SHB/EW babies. No surprises there to anyone.I feel like this is a point often overlooked.
