Why EA still tops the charts with every game they put out regardless of the slew of hate people give for most their games.
The money talks and it is the absolute deciding factor if they stay the course and do it again or actually do something about it.
Applies here too. I'm not saying don't mention anything and just unsub. Mention your points. Wait and see. If nothing changes. Money talks start immediately and unsub.

I’ve never really understood it tbh. Pretty much what you are saying s all people need to do, so I don’t understand why/how certain posters continue to complain mooooonths and moooonths after first complaining.
Granted, they continually find new things to complain about, so maybe for them the entertainment is in the complaining itself.
To the dissatisfied: It’s a very simple transaction like a gym membership or joining a timeshare. If you are getting your monies worth, cool. If not, say what would satisfy you in a constructive way and if it doesn’t match the trajectory of whatever service, there are infinitely many other services who would love your money..and might even have what you want.
Complaining your gym doesn’t have a pool, and telling managers they need a pool over 6-12 months of there not being a pool is nonsense. Like, join a gym with a pool. Or keep your gym membership, but check out a public pool somewhere else. Your one gym doesn’t have a monopoly on pools.
a “I dun like this! It’s not what I want. Why can’t it just be that!?” Is not constructive.
“Please take a look at (this other game) and see how they have (this content) that makes the game have significantly more stuff to do without necessarily adding a lot more work/effort on devs.”
I mean, just for example: add bluemage to Eureka. It would immediately make that something I’d blow hours in. Never bothered with it since I don’t care about relics. Or Bozja.

Because we care. Or in my case, cared. As of the time of writing Tuesday is set to be my final day playing because upon the conclusion of Pandaemonium's story there is nothing left in the writing for me to look forward to. Prior to that I have quite literally done what I'm allegedly supposed to do and "just play other games!" this entire expansion because no content it's released has lasted more than a few days.
Are you seriously pretending this isn't what loads of people have been doing since this expansion have launched? We have given suggestions, and whenever we compared it to other mmorpgs we just got told go play those instead by the defenders of Endwalker. Or had our suggestions mocked whenever we specifically went out of our way to respond in good faith to their inquiries, upon which all hope of productive discussion was lost. Hence why you see people sometimes just leave their take and not bother to engage further, because of how obstructive the behavior of this expansion's defenders is whenever you try to have a discussion about the many things that have gone wrong.
And at this point? Yes, they need to work harder and put the same effort they did back when we were in Stormblood. I am not feeling passion when it comes to soulless content like Eureka Orthos other than the fascination with certain characters like Hermes who fundamentally broke the entire game's story with his inclusion. Or cringeworthy slice of life elements coupled with repeated attempts of trying to be "funny" like the Myths femroe that completely ruin any sort of immersion I might have once had with this game's story when compared to the writing of Heavensward or Shadowbringers.
We have said our piece. We continued trying to be vocal about the things we felt needed to improve only to have people who would sooner play in FFXIV's ashes alone than with us with the game in a better state come in and stifle our feedback using tactics such as derailment, personal attacks on other posters, and other bad faith approaches to discussion. Bonus points whenever they make "positive" threads in an attempt to shut down or ridicule ones that are critical about the current state of affairs. We see through such things easily. These people have all but won out over those of us who wanted for FFXIV to be the best it can be. Not what's since become in wake of Endwalker.
So now all that is left is to make our peace on Tuesday, in my case despite how much I want to play this game I cannot see myself returning without the assurance that I will not be served a story like Endwalker's or have to endure another expansion's worth of perpetual content drought with numerous pieces of low quality, one-off pieces of content that have no real replayability value.

Walk into a store and buy a loaf of bread. Then walk over to the customer service desk and tell them that the loaf of bread wasn't sufficient value for the amount you paid, that it should have been 2 loaves of bread and a pound of cheese and that you want them to give you that second loaf plus the cheese right now. What do you think the response will be from the store's employees? What do you think the response would be from other customers nearby listening to your conversation?
Money only goes so far. There comes a point that to get more, you need to pay more. If you're not satisfied with the quantity you're getting now, you probably won't be satisfied with the amount you get at the higher price, either.
If you're not satisfied with the amount of content you get here, why not take your money and put it into another entertainment service instead, whether that's a game, movie/show streaming service, music platform, etc.? Oh, don't forget to limit yourself to content that you've never seen/heard before while you're at it. Make certain you only get more completely new content.
Makes me wonder if we would have enough houses if all those who complain about a lack of content but stay subbed for the sake of a house they only use 1 week every 4 months (other than to step inside to reset the demo timer) gave up those houses so they didn't feel compelled to stay subscribed.
Almost every business out there that sells some sort of consumer product/service relies on FOMO at times to keep the customer spending their money on their products/services. "Buy now and scan the code inside the package to see what you've won!" "This month only a special screening of that hot movie everyone is talking about."
Why? Because it works too well with too many people. Social media has effectively doubled down on it by pitting people against each other based on who has and who doesn't. I'm sure it amuses marketing agencies that abuse social media to get the consumers to do 99% of the marketing work for them.
It's up to consumers to break themselves out of the FOMO habit. If they don't cave to FOMO, corporations can't use that against them.
What an absolutely ridiculous take of people complaining or asking for more content to be added to the gameWalk into a store and buy a loaf of bread. Then walk over to the customer service desk and tell them that the loaf of bread wasn't sufficient value for the amount you paid, that it should have been 2 loaves of bread and a pound of cheese and that you want them to give you that second loaf plus the cheese right now.
yall will really go to far lengths to try and defend this game as much as you can, absolutely pathetic
then again your entire post history is just you kissing yoshi's boots and worshipping him, calling off any sort of complaint and criticism of the game by telling them to "just play a different game and quit"
yikes

Pretty much. I'd like the game to be better, but there's literally no reason for them to do that.
The game will always have shit PvE and PvP. That's just how it is. There's no changing that.
They won't listen to old players, they'll listen to the trends.
They'll listen to how much Catgirl Everdeen buys Fantasias. They'll listen to Daddy Tablebender keeping their sub on for their sex dungeons.
So I just use it as a VRchat equivalent that I pay $13/month for every 6-9 months. Any "feedback" I give is a gonna go straight into the dumpster anyway. Shit doesn't matter.
