Get rid of Series and just put the new stuff in the PvP shop.

If terrible pvp is the issue how does getting rid of series fix this? You'll still have to play to get said rewards. I already grind at my own pace with series around and 4 months is more than enough. No one and I mean no one HAS to hypergrind anything. Also just saying, FOMO only works on weaker willed people. I don't fear missing out on a digital cosmetic

You could have just said to get rid of the battle passes and be done with it. Everyone would have understood, as that is a very poor system to get people into pvp. Would of probably worked for rank CC but not in general. Mentioning FOMO on the other hand....

i think that since they haven't made a shop for the old rewards makes me think they will reserve those things for future mogtome events. that seems to be the go to place when they say that old things will be obtainable again, just not perpetually re-obtainable.

But they already allow you to purchase rewards from the previous battle pass. If you've earned level 25 in the previous series battle pass, you can still go back and buy them with the trophy crystals you earned during that series up until the new series is over.

I don't think they went back on their word, but maybe many players just misunderstood or were expecting something grand as in purchasing rewards without having to earn them.

no, you can only CLAIM things you have not done so already in the previous battle pass until the next series. Once you claimed everything, the button to go back to the previous series list disappears. When the new series starts, you can only work on that series.

They didn't claim that, uhhh sorta. That was from the Reddit translation. If you go back and reread the LL digest posted here at the time it doesn't really say that, though it's worded so weirdly that I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking otherwise at first glance.

Edit: What they actually meant, and this has been borne out as what happens is let's say you spent the entire day right before the season changes grinding CC, go on a 10 win losing streak and demote all the way from bronze 1 to bronze 5 again and you go apoplectic and have a stroke before you bring up your series menu and claim your rewards. After your hospital stay, the new series has begun. You can then go back to the old series rewards and claim the trophies and whatnot that you had managed to unlock already but had not claimed. You cannot then go on to unlock any other older series rewards on that old track, whatever you didn't earn is lost forever.*

*Until they actually do some kind of rerun or maybe dump it on the trophy rewards, who knows what the future actually holds.
