Don't worry ya'll. They let the JP playerbase know first with a lodestone post instead of the NA community who were affected by it after they brought down all worlds for an emergency maintenance.

Its the Everquest pandemic all over again !

WoW literally had a pandemic once. It was called Corrupted Blood incident. Basically it was a debuff that would spread to other people within close proximity. It would slowly wittle away health. It was suppose to go away once the boss was killed but an oversight happened when they didn't factor in pets.

So once beaten they would go to town...summon their pet who happened to have the debuff...and it spread like wildfire throughout the cities. Killed lower leveled people instantly.

The entire incident was studied on how people would react during a pandemic. Well...I guess they didn't count on politics and how dumb people could be.

That is indeed odd but NA is notorious for investigating and resolving the issue before ever speaking up about it. Sucks though, as that tends to leave us in the dark in the meantime.
