It might actually be impossible because all alternative ways of leveling are locked behind the MSQ.

I'd wanna see a dude who just has max crafters and max gatherers with full pentamelded omnicrafter gear but only have a lvl 3 gladiator as a combat class.

What I wish for the developers to do is to change the enemy type on early healer role quests from animals like squirrels or ladybugs to Garlean soldiers or some other type of enemy like that. This would help vegan players be able to play through the story without going against their conscience. Even if it's a virtual space, knowing that I have not killed any animal is peace of mind.

The only thing I agree with here is I would rather beat up fascists then animals.
