Anyone can tell what this is about? Got no clue tbh
Currently you only have a small number of slots available to save gearsets in that menu list. When you unlock a new class or job, you also unlock one more gearset slot. The update will remove this arbitrary unlock process and just let you have the maximum number of slots immediately, whether you have a use for them or not, as well as increasing the mamimum number overall.

It occurred to me that the steampunk outfit from Island Sanctuary is not quite out of nowhere, but would match the motorcycle mount that we got from there previously.

A lot to look forward to in the patch. I just wish SE would stop thinking healers all want to dress like nuns.

On the bright side, it helps us hide our actual weapons.

Correct me if Im wrong, but the healer raid set seems to be the only one without glowy stones behind

I have some... interesting nun costumes in that case. Not generally-inappropriate-interesting, but definitely not nun-like.

But seriously, I know this complaint comes up regularly, but overall I seem to be one of the few people here not largely bothered by it – for two somewhat opposed reasons.

One is that I like robes. I think they're pretty and I like using them on my female characters in particular, though some look great on male characters as well. It's harder to find things that fit my Roegadyn alt, but the new raid gown looks lovely on the one in the preview, so that makes me hopeful. Plus, whether we like it or not, it's clearly the approach that they want to take with their healers, and it's no different to expecting that the tank will have heavier armour.

The other is that robes aren't nearly as ubiquitous as people like to complain. We get gothic coats and tunics and simpler shirts and strappy things. (Right in this very live letter we're getting a cardigan and minidress.) Or you can switch out the robe for an all-class shirt and do something interesting with healer-specific gear in the other slots. I have an assortment of those as well.

I know I'm kind of predictable with this counter-rant, but I think there has to be a balance in favour of often having robes and sometimes subverting it – too many subversions means there's no longer a standard to subvert. If that makes sense. Robes are iconically what indicates a mage outfit, and I want to keep getting robes in different styles with each themed set. If I want to wear a particular style of clothing I'll make a glamour for a role that wears it.

(I kind of want to make a review thing where I go through all the healer sets and look at what is there and make glamours with each one. I don't know how I'd format it – blog, video, where to post? – but I keep toying with the idea. Would people even be interested in that?)

I think there are very few irredeemable outfit pieces; you just need to find the right character to look good in them. Some things pair badly with their matching set but look great with something else.

Hrmmm. I had assumed the crystals were part of the weapons but now you point it out, the tank ones in particular look aligned to the character rather than the weapon, and the others could be as well.

I really don't like permanent glowing effects on gear. It's made the Abyssos sets unwearable to me, and I would much prefer to see them have "crystals or no crystals" as the difference between normal/savage rather than dyeability. (Making both versions dyeable, of course.)

A better image of the raid gear is out, and there's your answer for why the mage gear doesn't have separate crystals. The whole thing glows.

Also crafted gear – it seems that might be unisex mage gear after all, no variant for male characters beyond pants instead of shorts? Super cute anyway.

The jacket and waistcoat outfit is reminding me of the Appointed glamour set.

I love the crafted sets outside of dudes being given pants instead of shorts yet again. C'mon SE, let me have a cute pair of shorts. ):

Raid sets, on the otherhand, look way too much like Euphro sets to me which...idk, makes it nice to mix and match, but I guess I was expecting something different.
