Just better hope that FF16 does astronomically well to keep SE afloat because if not Sony will buy it then implement NFT's and most likely P2W methods and if you think Yoshi will stop it. I highly doubt he could since Sony will be signing his paycheck or they just replace him with a Yes man

Sony would buy them if they wanted to regardless of 16 success or not. At the moment they don’t really need to buy them because they have such a good working relationship with them. Sony doesn’t want to pursue NFTs it’s S-E themselves that do and technically 14 is untouchable for that because of Yoshis position in the company being that on the board of directors. Sony wouldn’t make any changes really they would buy them and probably do what they did with bungie and have them still be independent in their decisions but reap the profits.

Anyway the only fear we have for this game is the S-E higher ups taking budget away which I doubt as this is the only thing per quarter earning them the big money.
