hey guys you know what would be cool is if we took everything from ffxi and then put it in ffxiv because i hear remaking games verbatim is great and also i cannot come up with suggestions that fit the existing ffxiv so its best if we just copy everything from a last-gen outdated MMO this is all true because i know what's best for ffxiv and what i like and want for is what every other player in ffxiv also likes and wants

Seriously, though, I think that people who want to push this kind of thought would do better to coach their arguments in XIV's terms than to shout "XI redo!!1!". Probably have a lot less resistance.

It's the same 2-10 people requesting copy-pasted s**t from FFXI with no real justification, just some subjective bulls**t like "I liked it", "The people I play with like it", and "It was in FFXI." It used to be followed by dozens of intelligent posters explaining why it wouldn't fit in FFXIV and why it was bad in FFXI while the OP sticks his fingers in his ears and screams "NEENERNEENERNEENERIHADFUNNEENERNEENERNEENER." After a solid year of the same s**t of people asking for copy-pasted FFXI content despite the devs not budging, the most of us who want a new MMO -- and not FFXI with a graphical update -- gave up.

Yet it's perfectly acceptable to want WoW in this game? Why not go play WoW? I swear some of you people's animosity towards FFXI is going to be the death of this game (even more so) especially since as I've stated and shown, SE nor Yoshida is dumb enough to ignore their previous successful MMO now. You do realize the AF you're likely wearing is named exactly after it's XI's counterpart..right? Did FFXIV collapse into nothingness? No? Then what's the problem?

Only someone who seriously hates FFXI would be against good content design. It's funny how people complain about the "same ole style content" yet brush off any ideas simply because XI did it, but embrace content that WoW did with open arms. Maybe people should be playing WoW? >.>?

Crystal Tower is from FFIII...yet no one is crying about that, some people really need to let their hate go.

I liked Assaults. I guess they're a model of what high-level leves could have been like. And Salvage was, in my humble opinion, the BEST endgame content. Ever. Not too long, but not too short.

ZNM's

This content is a series of popped NMs that eventually leads to a hard boss they had to gimp because idiots forced themselves to fight it incorrectly for almost a full day. You basically go from NM > NM > NM > NM > NM > HNM, repeat for 3 paths then > Pando Warden. People have shown and proven they want HNMs in this game, this is one of the best ways to do it. What's wrong with it?

The only dowside was taking pictures, which is obviously something that wouldn't return if they did it in FFXIV.

Nyzul Isle

Dungeon that has a random layout and random puzzles with every 20th floor (20,40,60,80,100) leading to a boss against one of the world HNMs. Uncharted is even harder and has even more world HNMs that drops some of the best gear in the game.

If you think this is a bad idea because XI did it, you really hate that game lol, no one is against new dungeons open world or otherwise.

Mysitc Weapon's

I adamantly disagree with this. No one likes Mythic Weapons in FFXI (acquiring) because they flatout lied that it would be for Casual players when I can complete a Relic in ~1.4 months and an Empyrean in 2 days these days.

Besieged

Besieged and Campaign were fun and different kind of content you rarely seen in other MMOs at the time, if Hamlet Defense is even close to this, I wonder how many "Go to FFXI" people will be using the content? You basically defend Al Zahbi, or the Fort or your home nations from assault of the enemy force. Crafters supplied items the resource managers were seeking, you could even "spy" on beastmen lairs or set traps on their own outposts.

If people didn't have such large amounts of animosity to FFXI alone, people would realize, most are saying bring back the STYLE of content, not bring back the content in the exact same fashion, but as I said, if Hamlet Battle is even anywhere near as good as Campaign and Campaign OPs were, people should probably give up now and accept that Yoshida isn't afraid to revisit good content from a previous FF game including XI.

He even isn't against the idea of a GOLD SAUCER type place being implemented, and if you want that...go play FFVII...funny enough, I never seen someone say "If you want Materia go play FFVII"..this community is funny.
