Thread: Bring Back White Gate Kind of Content (For 2.0)

Salvage wasn't speed run rewards, Idk what pieces you're talkin about. Salvage gear was better (in some cases only) but it was because salvage was more complicated. There was no prize for killin the boss with 25 minutes remaining vs. with 5 minutes remaining. You went into one of four zones and farmed whatever path you needed to farm. 80% of the time we didn't even bother with the boss boss of any zone cuz we were farming the smaller NMs for drops.

Arrapago Remnant
2 Qiqirn Treasure Hunter -- Pop after the sixth floor main room has been cleared in under 7 minutes. This is the 4 Archaic Gear, 4 Archaic Gears, 2 Archaic Rampart, and any summoned Seasonal Treants. - This is speed run.

Bhaflau Remnant
Dormant Rampart spawned by defeating the Mad Bomber before Self-Destruct is used (~75 seconds after aggro). - Speedrun.

Zhayolm Remnant
Poroggo Madame NM popped by reaching the fourth floor in under 30 minutes. - Speedrun.

They are speedrun even if it's in another method, they are doable only by people that have done runs multiple times, knows the basic layout of the instances, and ability to work in sync with the party. Granted, Salvage has more objectives inside, which i would like to see.. But speedrun is fine, it just can't be the only objective.

Those are speed elements, yes, but not speed runs. You don't have to clear the whole thing along the same set path every time you enter in under 25 minutes.

Those 2 qiqirn TH's aren't the only two, they're extra. If you find them, cg!, but if not it doesn't matter or limit what you can or cannot get from the zone.

Killing the bomb before self-destruct isn't at all difficult and you don't need to reach the bomb in any set amount of time. It even spawns randomly so there are possibilities of not even seeing it when you're there. Also when going into the rampart there is a chance you won't even see the spider so that turns into a time sink instead of a speed element.

The Frog is something you do "need" to rush to, but she also has a 100% (ONE HUNDRED PERCENT) drop rate going on.... That also doesn't compare to a "speed run". Of the three she's closest to it though, i suppose, but you can get her drops from the floor 1 NM without using the speed element, sooooooooooooo.... ya.

I'd rather see new innovative content rather than rehashed or reused content.

Clearly we've learned what recycling content can do for the series as a whole.

If you WANT FF11 style content, go play FF11.

We are already getting crystal tower, how about you wait and see what that's like before you start demanding what you want.

It's not every day, it's closer to every week there's a new "I want this from xi" hot topic. They usually come in clusters of two or more of clone threads.

I am hoping that the crystal tower will be (as fun as / more fun) than Nyzul Isle was.
