I love the content. It's not mediocre it's pretty cool. Sorry for you and yours that don't care for it but then again for a couple dozen of you on this forum that's par for the course you're never happy with anything.

which isn't true at all. Want I want are jobs that have identity and skill to them not some Neanderthal brain dead setup. I want content that they release that ACTUALLY have some good rewards not something like the current criterion and thinking materia s the best reward. Island sanctuary isn't even a sanctuary it's a sweat shop of gathering mats and building it basically Diadem in a island setting. How about better gear progression instead of a 4 month grind of gearing up one class? The devs can take a page from Diablo 4 and make Ninja like their Rogue. Using poison skills, shadow skills not some Naruto wannabe. Now you say you love the content but people who have been white knighting and defending it have not given any defense on why the content is great. No one names one reason how the current content has been great at all despite people pointing out the flaws time and time again yet falls on deaf ears

Ask 30 separate people what they like in the game and why they play, get 30 different answers. Each person has their own likes and dislikes....so really your question is kind of self defeating, since you will never get any answer that will satisfy you..or your need to pick apart what others do, and why they do it, for your own silly agenda.

My advice: focus on what you do, and dont waste time, effort or concern on what others do..since, as has been said...it really is none of your business.

The majority of battle contents in FFXIV are instanced based, so when people are actually doing stuff, you wouldn't be able to see them.

So if I was a possible player on the fence of possibly getting FFXIV no one gives any reason on why FFXIV is a great MMO. I can make a video showing and explaining all the flaws that is wrong and don't get fixed. I can explain in a video on how the dev team doesn't take a high risk high rewards system and instead shell out a low risk low rewards. The jobs of FFXIV have no identity, no skill and are just cookie cutter jobs. Criterion dungeon for example: you beat it accomplish something hard and what is your reward *drumroll please* materia just plain old materia no weapons/gear. For jobs DoT's have been gutted and soon there will be no more DoT's. Ninja job if you love ?Naruto then this job is for you! Like to summon a frog that pukes fire have at it. Doesn't portray a true ninja that uses shadow and poison skills and acts like a assassin which a ninja was. Oh and the mudras have clip issues that never have gotten fixed. Character customization. Bland, boring and basic. Want your guy character to have a beard? Sorry beards don't exist. Want to have hairstyles with strong to faded colors sorry can't do that. Want to have a face 1 Au Ra female with face 4 horns sorry horns are tied to faces can't do it.

Island sanctuary sounds peaceful doesn't it. A place to unwind in your island see the view and watch your island grow? Well only if you like to slave yourself in gathering materials non stop to build up the island. Oh but their is automata around to help feed your animals, plant your crops and go out and gather mats. Only if you pay them which results in going back to round 1 of gathering to have your workshop build stuff to sell. Do you like mount farming sure it's cool and the mounts are awesome to see BUT if your RNG is unlucky on drops and rolls then you have the ultimate privilege of fighting a trial boss 99 times to get the mount via tokens. But you got to say to yourself "well gee that doesn't sound fun at all" well it isn't and if you had the unlucky chance to have to get 99 tokens you will never want to do that trial ever again. 50 tokens should be more then fair of getting a mount if unlucky.

Do you like to glam/transmog your outfits? Well lucky for you they upped the glam dresser to 800 pieces of outfits for you to glam BUT we only have so many glam plates for you to have sorry it's just that out engine and coding is so outdated we can't have a transmog system like other MMO's out there. Speaking of system coding the UI isn't exactly the best. Not all of the text works in 2k or 4k sometimes when text pops up on your monitor it isn't fixed to your ratio sorry no idea why. Oh and you are limited to so many hotbars that it is hard to put everything on there and you have to learn how to clean up your HUD so it isn't so cluttered.

As as pointed out in the liveletter, the glam, dresser and the armoire were created at DIFFERENT TIMES, you have no idea how hard it is to go back and refactor someone elses code.

..as opposed to WOWs system where you can grind and grind for fifteen years and never see the mount drop? Mount called the Love Rocket with a 0.00005% drop rate, players have been after that for a decade and never seen it.
