this will always be my favourite mmo even if i am feeling sad about it's current state i will still log in and do dailies at least , but ...
Y "Since I want everyone to tackle a lot of content and play other games too I just didn't want this to feel like it will take forever and you're bound to raiding in ff14. There are so many other games coming out in May and June"
it's really depressing that he have to say play other games on every live letter .
or is it their way for promoting other se games? but you know not everyone owns a ps5.
...Are you really disappointed because you can't get a profit from selling an outdoor furniture?I didn't like that you only need 1 of a furniture item to place as many copies as you want in the IS. I know that this is very minor but did decorating the island need to be that easy? For some players, having to work for the gil to buy each item could give them something to do for a while.
As someone who enjoys selling furniture in the marketboard, that's kind of a shame.
IMO, that feature of placing furniture via glamour is the best thing ever, because you don't have to purchase plenty of junk only to find out it doesn't fit to your liking, and also you can place those Cherry Blossom tree as much as you can! Much better than what current housing offered.

Yeah it's pretty cool. Got to giggle those selling furniture have been making a killing with all the housing that's been going up recently. I think it's awesome you can use one item in Sanctuary multiple times....Are you really disappointed because you can't get a profit from selling an outdoor furniture?

Personally what I saw today was pretty neat and I suspect we'll get a house there as well although something like that is perfect for a Fanfest reveal. We'll have to wait and see but if they can do that outdoors I'm sure the possibility exists for an indoor deco phase as well. Hopefully if housing is coming I hope we will have different skin and placement in the wild options.
And the live letter was pretty special in my view lots of neat stuff coming.
They didn't talk about or at least I missed it if they did but I hope they scale the difficulty down a bit for the mid tier version of that content.

I mean nothing blew me away, but 14’s patch cycle is so formulaic that nearly everything shown could have been predicted. The new fights look cool (cept the giant hitboxes), the job changes seem to be decent, the loot changes are great. I hate how the crafted gear looks, island sanctuary is a snooze fest and most of my complains with the game are still unaddressed but expecting more than this from a patch was just unrealistic.
Yeah, I mean I WANT to play FF14. I WANT to log on and have something to do and know I’ll have fun doing it. I don’t want to play other games. I’ve hardly played EW since 6.2 because there’s just nothing to do and most jobs are so boring it hurts. I log on, see how all there is to do is the same stuff there’s been since 2016 (yet somehow less) and log off. This game got me though a lot of hard shit and seeing it so stale and seeing so many people defend such utter mediocrity hurts.this will always be my favourite mmo even if i am feeling sad about it's current state i will still log in and do dailies at least , but ...

What you call "mediocrity" is not what others see in the game, Sarge. Each to their own. Im enjoying the hell out of myself..as far as 'mediocre" goes, I tend to disagree and find the game and its content very enjoyable. This game got me though a lot of hard shit and seeing it so stale and seeing so many people defend such utter mediocrity hurts.
Im curious: what is it you would see changed / included?
90% of my issues with 14 are as follows: Stale job design is the biggest. Every buff being 2 minutes, tanks having identical cooldowns and similar rotations, and healers spamming 1 button and barely needing to heal. I do have specific gripes about DPS but those are relatively minor. How boring leveling is, how slowly you gain abilities on most jobs etc. The absense of midcore, repeatable content like bozja or eureka. And recent bosses just being boring like Rubicante, Agdistis, or Hegemone. The other 10% are things like how boring stats are, how dull hunts are (I mean they never even up their stats so they don’t get steamrolled after the first raid tier), how item level sync has removed most challenge (and therefore fun) from older content like old trials and a few other nitpicks. What you call "mediocrity" is not what others see in the game, Sarge. same here, FFXIV for me though my surgery when I was down but that was during stormblood, it's just been an IMVU chatroom since then, which is sad and just being a dress up game with housing
FFXIV is all about balance but even the devs can't get it right and we have to suffer with this homogenized carbon copy of jobs, it just not fun

The criterion and variants dont meet that need? Or is this a loot issue? The absense of midcore, repeatable content like bozja or eureka
