Can we please have at least 1 female Au Ra to accompany the WoL on their adventures?

Anyone remember Mide Hotgo? I'd really love her to somehow make a reappearance but I also haven't played the HW raid in years so I honestly don't remember if she's lost in time or something.

Besides from Yugiri, she's the only other Au'ra girl with a enqueue face who was only put in as a mini side story character.

Mikoto would be a sensible addition as well. Sadly I don't think Mide will ever come back and Yugiri is too tied to Hien anyway.

Yugiri isn't coming back because her VA was murdered. she was retired after Stormblood because of it.

They're never going to have every race represented in the WoL's major companions all at once, and we have had a reasonable number of female Au Ra supporting characters. Yugiri, Cirina, Sadu, Mide, Mikoto, probably her twin sister turning up somewhere.

Then unfortunately I'm pretty sure the story, at least characters will be just like a 7 year old stale bread with the same faces, the same platitudes about friendship and the same predictable dialogues.

I genuinely don't see the issue with this. And I'm not even trying to be cold and heartless, why not just hire a new VA? I genuinely really like Yugiri and wouldn't mind seeing more of her.

I would imagine it's out of respect, I believe it happened during SBs production so after that they started to draw down her role. If recall her HW VA was meant to do SB but obviously that happened and so they hired a replacement VA to finish production. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, I haven't looked at the details in years.

Yugiri's first English VA was ARR only. Then she was replaced by a new English VA for Heavensward who died after patch 3.1. Yugiri was left out of the rest of HW but was recast in English for patch 3.5 and the character went on to have a bigger role in SB than she did in both ARR and HW and even shows up in the dead center of the SB poster.

Yugiri isn't involved with the main cast as much for the same reason Lyse isn't. Her character has other things to do now and a job raising up her country that just came back from nonexistence.

All you're asking for is the same platitudes with new faces, if it's still the same people doing the same writing.

And if we do get new characters, it will be whatever race the writers want to add.

All I want are more new and grounded characters. I can let the platitudes slide if such characters are interesting. I know I enjoyed a bunch of their stories when they were still developing.
