People are weird when it comes to launchers I understand but epic isn't terrible now Ubisoft
Epic launcher is terrible since players simply do not want to use it, same for Ubisoft and other launchers, spyware is just a bonus. It's so much more convenient to have everything on steam, but main problem are the exclusives. Nobody is banning devs from releasing both on Steam and Epic, but every one knows that nobody will buy it on epic, so exclusives are only way to redirect some traffic to it. It's simply anti-consumer practice, there are reasons why r/fuckepic exists. As for Ubisoft, they're garbage too but at least they gave up and are crawling back to Steam after few years.

It's unfortunate that terrible company owns actually amazing product, which is Unreal Engine.

Here I found some examples why people hate on Epic:

I know many people who use Epic. Most people don't give a damn which launcher as long as they can play their games. As for Ubisoft crawling back to steam, not really. You can buy the game on steam, but you still have to install the Ubisoft launcher for their games, so same BS.
