Rune Knights & Pixies

If it's ever introduced, I can't see it having anything (explicitly) to do with pixies (I could see them instructing someone on the Source via dreams, but their involvement would probably be subtext at most), since they're from a world that we're meant to believe is cut off from most people in the WoL's -- and they're locked behind an expansion, besides. After trying it in Heavensward, the devs don't seem interested in locking that kind of content behind MSQ, and it's hard not to see why.

Yep, which limits our options rather severely, it's actually notable that StB and EW Jobs originate from some of the regions we visited in that expansion, Samurai is from Far East, Red Mage is from Ala Mhigo, Reaper is from Garlemald, and Sage is from Sharlayan, but we couldn't have Jobs originating from the First in ShB because of this, though I guess we did visit Bozja in ShB for Gunbreaker, and we eventually visited Thavnair in EW for Dancer.

Yeah, the difference with all those examples is that those jobs were tied back into the Source in a way that made sense. You don't need to get to the xpac in question in order for your character to have conceivably heard about the near or far east. But the nature of the pixies' introduction and their relation to the First just makes that a lot harder to pull off.

Regardless, I certainly don't think that means rune magic is off the table just because pixies may or may not use it too. I just don't think they'll be related.
