Tacos are good! As a matter of fact, I think I'll eat some for lunch. Thanks Ant!
I have a laundry list, and damn you for restricting it to a single aspect!
(Gah, I'm really having to think to pick out this one...)
The linking system.
My signature is edible. Go ahead, try some.

Slow.....
Speed up everything like ...34098234823840 times and you might actually feel like you are in combat....
to me the WHOLE game is like watching a slow motion replay, or like watching ppl trying to move underwater....
Hm... In the grand picture of things it's pretty minor, but it's the one thing that continuously annoys me the most at this stage in the game. The inability to quickly switch between linkshells. We need a text command or a button on the UI for this or something.
It annoys me to no end having to navigate the menus just to respond someone typing in a linkshell you don't currently have equipped. Oh, and if you're crafting? Forget it, you have to completely stop what you're doing and stand up to switch the linkshell before you can continue.

First the game has to have better graphical optimization.
Playing it on an ATI card is just sad day. My laptop has significantly better specs than my desktop, yet my FFXIV experience is worse due to the fact that my laptop uses a Radeon ATI card and my desktop uses an nVidia.
So first I'd like them to fix all the hardware problems it has, so that more people can play it in the first place.
Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh

Invisible borders.
Visible ones, too.
I'm the explorer type of player, and I just hate it soo much how FFXIV is restricting my every step.
Hills with the height of my ankle force me to walk around them because my character can't walk over them..?!
Interesting places in town are protected by invisible barriers.
EVERYTHING remotely interesting which can be seen in a distance can't be explored because there's a fence or some kind of water in front of it (lakes in the Black Shroud, mini castles in Coerthas, airship and dragon king in Mor Dhona, Blue Fog machinery, etc.).
I can't even walk into a tiny pond to play in my summer event swimsuit because ANOTHER invisible border stops me from going in deeper than my ankles. Yay-.-
All of this is bothering me more than anything else.
Although I'd also like the game to react faster to everything, especially buying, selling and trading.

Yes, pretty minor in the grand scheme of things, but this is probably what bothers me most right now.Hm... It seems like it would be easy to implement something like "/1 [message]" and "/2 [message]".
People have brought this up numerous times, but I have never seen a dev response.
If SE has a good reason for -not- wanting to implement this, it would be really nice if they could clarify that once and for all.

They said we will get it in 2.0 because it's technically not possible with the way Linkshells work right now or something.
