Push comes to shove you may need to use a VPN when updating. I use one myself and have no issues with Steam. They dont LIKE vpns because it bypasses licensing restrictions. Like I can watch 4 different netflixes because some shows are available in the US but not the UK and visa versa.

I have Steam Account, and recently the game has been removed from steam store for my steam region ("This item is currently unavailable in your region" error)

But I still able to use all Mog Station services, and pay services there with steam account wallet, and install and play the game from steam (but not visit the store page)

Maybe its not Steam, maybe its SE blocks something from ur way?

Ah, in my case only Free Trial that available on steam store. I'll check it up if all the payments etc. work when i get back to Indonesia

Ah i see, how about purchasing mog item or subs? All this time i used amazon.jp payment options, rarely via steam

Then I assume you already have a JPN PSN account.
If so, updating and playing in the console is your easiest solution.
I don't play with steam, so I don't really have the know how for that side of the problem.
And since it's already mid November, I hope your medical condition is already being cared for.

Yes! I have a JPN PSN ID, but do i need to link the expansion again after purchasing to PSN? Tried to purchased it today but it still doesn't show up on mogstation

I'm exactly same like you except in reverse. I've played from Indonesia and now reside in JP.

in my opinion, there is no connection issue at all, don't need VPN either. I cleared savage contents in Indonesia just fine. While you can still feel the ping difference, it is very playable even with Ninja. If in JP you get 60ms, in Indonesia you probably get 120ms.

Now if you bought the game through PSN or Website, I'm not sure if you can transfer the account cross-platform to Steam.
but, if you move back to Indonesia you can keep your JP Steam Store to enable the next DLC purchase. Logging in from Indonesia or charging with IDR steam wallet does not revoke your Japan Steam status. Charging a Subscription through the mogstation with Steam wallet also does not revoke the Japan Steam status and it is completely possible as long as you remain in Yen currency.

I cannot say the same if you use credit card though, never tested it out.

edit : Basically what I did back in Indonesia was that I applied to change my region to JP, and did all the purchases in Mogstore with ￥JP Yen Steam wallet (All steam wallet purchases will be converted to JP currency automatically).

As the title said, i've been spent last 6 years here in Japan and one day after trying the Free Trial because of the Yokai Watch Collabo (one of my fav shows), immediately fall in love with the game.

Since i live in Japan when i tried the game i make a JP SE account and purchasing the game through Steam which is on my home country acc. (Indonesia), but since i live here, changed the store to JP store for the convenience. Long story short my job is here need to stop because my medical condition need me to return to Indonesia for intensive treatment maybe around November this year.

I just found out that the full game not available in Steam Store in Indonesia. I try to ask at Steam Discussion about this thing and one user said that as long as i keep my store in JP store i still can buy next expansion and even mog item with Steam Wallet as long as i keep my Steam Store in JP region.

Thing is when i look some of community FB group there lot connection issue and sometimes need vpn to just update the game client and i knew Steam hate vpn.

I am aware that my condition should be more became my priority right now, but this game really make me smile, i've found friend, best friend during my game time, they even give lotsa support every time i have hard time irl or when i'm dealing with my sickness. So it will hurt me more if i'm not able to see them sometimes later ingame, maybe im not able to play as much as before, but being able to see them, of course after having my condition became better will really make me happy.

Some friends in the Philippines have this same issue.

They have to use a VPN when buying and updating the game every patch, And mostly have to use a VPN to actually have good enough ping to play the game.

tbh, it's more a stability issue.
Without VPN there will be rubber banding.

Ooh, thank you for your replied ^^ I will try it out, yes currently i still keep my Steam Store to JP region / using Yen currency i just afraid if u recharge it using Indonesia voucher its gonna changed to IDR currency.

I actually wanna ask lotsa things about this, hopefully we can meet ingame one day
