Bookmarking this thread don't worry...just keep the same energy when i tag you and zephyr 1-2 years from today. By then both of you will probably back track so ill keep the receipts.Having criticism of dev decisions is one thing, but to say the game is "officially in maintenance mode" is silly. Just because you don't like what content is added in patches doesn't mean it's not added. Do I feel like a 4 month update cycle is way to long? Yes, of course. Even if it's only "two weeks" longer than a patch cycle in ShB, it still feels unbearably long. But it still gets updates. It still gets content added.
But since OP has already pulled the "I've been playing MMOs much longer than you, I should know" card, I already know it's going to be dismissed.
Let's not be hyperbolic and label what's happening as something it isn't. The games not in maintenance mode, you just don't like the content added. That's fine. No need to make ish up to justify how you feel.
Death Is Only The Beginning....

Tagging us 2 years from now doesn't make you correct about an "official maintenance mode" today. Look up official. Look up maintenance mode. LOL!
Hint: You'll probably still be wrong 2 years from now.
I'm doing you a kindness replying again so you don't have to wait with anticipation for 2 years to tag us.
Adding "Facts" to the terms I recommend you look up.

You mean right at the height of the next expansion? Sounds like a great idea.
To say this game is in maintenance mode while actively getting content updates and live streams talking about updates all the way up to 7.0 is pure trolling. You have no idea what maintenance mode is. This game has more players at this point in the current expansion time frame than the last two expansions had. Just because the content isn't stuff you like doesn't suddenly make the game in maintenance mode. Personally I love deep dungeons and hated the crappy grinding content of Eureka/delubrum/bozja so I'm quite content with the recent patches. Everyone is different, but actual maintenance mode is a game like swtor where its "expansion" is 30 minutes of story and a new planet that's smaller than a daily area and no new content for the next 12 months.
Ah the infamous ransu! I think we traded blows in the pvp forums as well if i remember correct but anyway.... This has nothing to do with me liking content and everything to do with the level of laziness that was on full display throughout entire expansion. Yoshi has committed to 7.0 so im aware that content is still being developed and live letter marketed but after the graphic update is done and 7.0 is released i truly believe the drop off will be felt by those who don't already feel it and recognize the writing on the wall. Difference between me and my attackers are...im willing to take accountability if im wrong. Will you?You mean right at the height of the next expansion? Sounds like a great idea.

So you admit that your original post is false.Ah the infamous ransu! I think we traded blows in the pvp forums as well if i remember correct but anyway.... Or you don't know what maintenance mode is, here I'll help: "Maintenance mode is the point when an MMO is being maintained reliably but isn't being actively developed any longer."
So no, we are not in maintenance mode. If you feel the content is lazy, then say that, don't make up sh*t just to look cool on a forum.
No i dont admit its false. Maintenance mode to me = managed decline. Ffxi is in maintenance but still gets active updates does change its definition? What i will say is we all know 7.0 had been in development and that content is already set in stone and decided upon. After that i don't believe development will be anything near what it had been leading up to endwalker thus ushering in what i believe to be maintenance....the writing has been on the wall since they started structuring this game into a single player focused experience. Not if but when ffxvi succeeds also put me on record for officially saying yoshi may see that success as a wanting to seek new heights and please take what you will from that statement. So you admit that your original post is false.

PS- not to be an a**hole but to be an a**hole....i care about looking cool about as much as u care about my opinion. Could also care less about tryin to impress anyone here its much bigger than that.
