Eh, with the changing of producers and him having the developers basically use FF11 as a secondary task so they can get experience in other games not sure how much longer there will be meaningful updates after this year.

I dunno, I think it'll probably continue for at least a couple more years. FFXI remains lucrative for the moment, and its remaining playerbase is quite dedicated. They're also rather clever when it comes to finding unique ways to kill stuff or just break the game in general, something developers tend to appreciate when it comes to letting new people get hands on experience.

They don't update content people want, only Maintenace mode mob swaps for Ambuscade. There was a damn near 100 page outreach from the players to update Monstrosity, and they said "Nope" LOL
