PvP gets a tournament for each Fanfest again

I get that they are trying, and I really do appreciate the effort to hype up PvP since it has felt so forgotten about. But sometimes, these announcements just feel so tone deaf and/or stubborn.

It is a great idea to make a tournament event, but Im not sure they realize that with its current structure and current state of casual/ranked play, this event is clearly for a niche within a niche within a niche. (A subniche of the PvP community that is active on discord/social media, and within that niche, those players who actively organize custom team matches on a regular basis).

Sure the tournament is open to everyone, and anyone can use Party Finder to build a team, but lets be totally honest with ourselves here...

i agree with this sentiment and even though its a step in the right direction it wasnt as well thought out let alone a bit of a late notice however i just formed a team and am practicing with others who have been doing this longer and theres a world of difference but it doesnt mean that within 2 months my team doesnt have a chance much like raiding with a static it takes time an effort with your team, plus the "small subset niche" LP pvp peeps are helpful when it comes to practice, i strongly urge anyone who is interested in this tournament to form a team and take a chance to enter because by not participating or at least trying its only gonna add to the that niche staying that way

Before making an event with prizes, I think they should really consider adding maybe idk an anti cheat maybe ? Now I know what you are gonna say ( But dude, they cant cheat at fan fest ) I know that. but the game itself is completely filled with hackers with add-ons from multiple platform ( I'm not talking about dalamud, I'm talking about these OTHERS add-ons) ... please fix the game square enix... cmon

I don't know a single multiplayer game where their actual esport scene has pros that can't practice on the ladder, but maybe there is some idk
