I dead ass won't even SUGAR COAT IT. This game has been mid as hell since ShB. Ever since the whole homogenization that started in ShB and the quality of the combat system has been a huge downfall. I dead ass stop playing DRK because it was so similar to WAR. I couldn't even play AST anymore because how they gutted the cards into a oblivion.

And the 2 minute meta? I don't understand how people enjoy THAT over diversity for gameplay. We traded in diversity / gameplay for this 2min / (boring) balance. And the only reason why i'm still here and sub to this game is because i'm FORCED to stay subbed in order to keep my FC housing.

And i'm confused on how the hell that people still have stuff to do on the game... despite having 8 years in it. Like bro, I played since STORMBLOOD my guy, and that's close to 5 years and there's ain't shit to do in this current expansion. I rather go back to the stormblood days, and at least most of the jobs were FUN and the content that shell out was good.

Kinda just proving my point... but anyways, I don't know what type of goals you got going in order for you to have "things to do." Good for you my guy, but that still doesn't justify on how lackluster it is currently, and being on the forums doesn't count.

All you can do is leave your feedback and maybe things get better. These forums have had a sad decline in constructiveness and all around treating each other decently when it comes to serious matters.

It's because there's 0 moderation and feedback isn't appreciated in any form. It's always attacked, so they're always attacked back. It's an endless cycle when there's no appropriate outlet for criticism and the community often attempts to snuff them out.

I appreciate all feedback and counter-feedback. But if you're gonna retort and say "But I have so much to do" maybe provide context into what you mean, so we can have an actual discussion instead of the only contribution you're providing is a counter with no point. It's just "Nuh uh!"

As we've ALL discussed - XIV has a huge problem with no middle-ground content unless it's egregious achievement hunting. I feel like this is where WoW is shining right now, it provides pretty good 'midcore' content that allows us to just hop in anytime and expect a challenge with any group of people. Kinda like how Eureka and Bozja worked, but that doesn't really exist in long form, and it also doesn't append to normal gameplay. Our 'midcore' is always a completely separate game mode, it may as well be a minigame most of the time.

So when people say they have so much to do, they're usually talking about Raid, or Achievements. If you look at the Census, only a small minority of players even do Savage. It's especially low for NA.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to get locked down to a static of salty players. I've had enough experience in both XIV and years of MMOs to just not enjoy that type of content. So I expect more difficult content with hop-in/hop-out opportunities.


Just imagine here for a quick moment, WoW Shadowlands with no overworld content, no quests, no rewards, but they have Torghast. That's basically XIV right now.

@VeolE unless you're an FC of one anyone part of your FC can reset the house timer. The only thing you have to log in for is if you're the FC lead so that you keep being the leader.
