We're only going to get one job and it'll probably be a caster DPS and people will all be outraged. I also doubt we'll get any new races.

Nah... It will be a new melee job that exclusively deals magic damage and uses a new INT based melee set.

Then you'll have that group of players crying "Why no new mage job?! Role is being ignored!"

Followed by SE going "We added a new ranged DPS job back in Shadowbringers"

And then said group of players: "But... but... Mage isn't ranged DPS"

TBH the comments made awhile back about them apparently not using jobs from previous FF games going forward raises some questions. However the primary thoughts are the following.

Does this mean we're going to see some entirely brand new jobs in the future that possibly come with new weapons we haven't seen in the franchise before?

And does this mean that jobs from non FF titles in SE's library that featured job systems are fair game?

Nah, Casters by and large don't go on covers because they don't sell units. Same reason they'll never put a healer on the cover.

As has been said, there wont be any new races after Fem Hrothgar come out. Has been stated more than a few times.
