Thanks for Proving my Point: Tha tit upsets People. Lol
This would have been a MUCH better opener then your previous 1st post.
Its subjective, because everyone is different, but its a much better and more reasonable thing to say.
Except the AFK in Limsa thing, at this point I think its a Dead Horse Meme that you cant help but to beat nonstop.
Your right, its not. SO I dont know why you would think anybody has this mindset. Also telling us you don't want the dev team to create fun events because you'll feel FOMO just kinda makes me think you guys are the ones that are actually addicted and would feel the need to login every day. When in reality, it just.. Creates a dynamic living world with things to do. It ain't complicated.
Everyone wants fun events to do. Im not gonna sit here and tell you that in recent Years the Events in FFXIV havent been lacking and I wish they could do better.
I play other games, to play other games. I dont want every game I play to feel the same or have the same systems.I don't even get the "Turn FFXIV into WoW" deal, it IS WoW. It's just a super light version of it with waifus and friendship. The rest, we see as watered down nothingness.
You need to spend more time playing all those other games you say Yoshi lets you play, give you a better perspective of your environment.
I dont play Apex Legends or Call of Duty and want them to feel the same. Nor would I want what I like about them to be in/like FFXIV. Or ninja gaiden.
People say they want PvP, and M+ and the glam system (everyone wants this actually) and reward systems and this diverse skill tree for specs that WoW does. So thats where the felel of "Turn FFXIV into WoW comes from
Because alot of these ideas, are just from WoW And once again if I have to spell it out, Im not necessarily against some of these ideas. Its just an observation.
Its not...and this makes no sense XD
Remember all the seasonal events the first year of ARR? Man they were insane and had more quests attached to them than we do now. The Heavensturn event alone was 5 quests. I miss the longer winded events. D:
Yeah, I'm in a really big FC and this checks out.Yeah I really doubt they login. It sounds like he's the one just AFK on retainers while playing Grandia. Which yeah, it's sad. It's the same shit I'm doing while 90% of my FC is at an average 100 days since last login. The ones that do login don't even feel motivated to even do anything but AFK, because they're just going through the motions of habit. If you join one of those mega FCs, it's also the same thing. No matter how many people they invite, most are AFK or doing single-player MSQ.
The world is so scripted, we already know what to expect with everything we do - So why bother doing anything more than once? I don't feel a sense of adventure anymore. It doesn't feel like the devs are working on an MMO, it feels like they're working on a single-player game with housing.
It's like all of these people telling us there's so much content to do, forget that most of us aren't high-end raiders and don't want to feel pressured into joining a static. But we still want fun and difficult things to do in general.
"I don't want to feel pressured to do content because there's so much of it" meanwhile, their suggestion for content is to feel pressured.. ?
Even for high end raiders, I do raid in this game, sometimes statics, sometimes pugging it but this is a lot of effort and sometimes I just want to chill with a fun game where I don't have to be hyper organized. Bozja and the SB period was the closest to these things that I really found fun. I felt like I could login and have something that was engaging, and people could die but we could also succeed and I didn't need to have a plan with strats super memorized with tight windows/pots/etc....
Even the roulettes were okay in SB because dungeons were just dangerous enough that I didn't check my cell phone while on auto run.
Never in my life had I logged on, looked at the roulette, gotten nauseous and logged off again. Here is the thing though, if these activities still were sort of dangerous and I could help people in the game or work with them to get some objective done I'd be happy. But nope. I could put a monkey on my chair and leave and the dungeon would still get cleared. Everyone in this game is irrelevant, heck the healer is irrelevant in dungeons now. Bots? humans? who cares, noone talks and stuff so easy its HP may as well drop automatically. No wonder people just rush dungeons and get hyper toxic, I legit understand them, not that I say anything.
The only reason I'm still on is because I got into this game and really learned to love it back when it wasn't this. I wanted the graphics update real bad, and asked for it in these forums and an email they sent requesting feedback. Since they announced it I'm staying and paying for it in 7.0 because I want my money to go where my mouth is. If not I would've already quit, and after 7.0 if the game doesn't become fun again I'll be out as well. If Endwalker is what the next 10 years look like I don't see a point really.
Yeah for real. These Events were much better back in the day.
Besides rewards, they were actually enticing to. Now I sadly skip through them just to get the reward. Sad Panda D;
(Although I THINK I did the last Heavensturn for the Cool Armor. I think I liked that one.)
TL : DR?
Lol GG. 10/10
I was so happy that they gave us actual armor for the event. Most people don't like those helmets, so getting something that's actually different was nice. Plus casters/healers finally got actual armor to wear!Yeah for real. These Events were much better back in the day.

You gotta be careful when you try to read tea leaves, it can lead you go crazy if you buy into it too hard.
"They do not know how to make good churn gameplay" and "They do not want to invest in churn gameplay" produce the same result, it doesn't get made. And you cannot see through the matrix past the game assets to find the answer for the intention either.
Also any "this can't be good business!" talk is pure fluff, the data to see the churn because there was no eurake/bozja is not even BORN yet. "Comparing player retention in environment of other relic weapon quests compared to EW" requires Endwalker to be... you know complete. Who knows how deep they are in development right now, probably already in production over the next expansion, so any feedback given over relic weapons now might with some luck land into the decisions decided for 7.3(!!!). How many of us will even be around then?
I don't think they do. I'm also not saying that just because there are those are like that longer lasting and or fun content shouldn't be made. All I'm saying is some of people when they say they want content that's coming out more often and last longer just come off as Varuca Salt stamping her feet and going "I don't care how I want it now." Or that they'd rather the devs have to deal with crunch and a repeat of what led to the unexpected long wait between 3.0 and 3.1. Instead of how it is now where part of the schedule is so that they can take breaks. I still remember when some people complained that part of the reason one of the more recent patches didn't come out quicker was so that they wouldn't need to feel the pressure of having to work between Christmas and New Years.Content doesn't need to be released weekly, it just has to be designed smartly. The systems are built to be fun for one or two times tops as of right now.
If you use people who can't be responsible for themselves as the base for designing this game that is a flawed approach. "Oh hey, lets not make this fun to replay because a few people can't control themselves" is punishing the userbase. Regardless, the folks that can't control themselves have a fundamental issue with themselves. Even if FFXIV got so boring they quit they'd still find any other game they could play 24/7. Making this one stale wouldn't solve any problems.
