Some people that play XIV so badly want WoW to be this big bad entity that forces them to play, so they can create villains out of the players that ask for more to do.

Realistically, WoW just provides more passive activities, overall more enjoyable combat, and it has daily/weekly events. I feel no pressure to play unless I'm in a raid group (just like XIV), and even if the systems were as repetitive as XIV,

This would have been a MUCH better opener then your previous 1st post.
Its subjective, because everyone is different, but its a much better and more reasonable thing to say.
Except the AFK in Limsa thing, at this point I think its a Dead Horse Meme that you cant help but to beat nonstop.

Also telling us you don't want the dev team to create fun events because you'll feel FOMO just kinda makes me think you guys are the ones that are actually addicted and would feel the need to login every day. When in reality, it just.. Creates a dynamic living world with things to do. It ain't complicated.

Your right, its not. SO I dont know why you would think anybody has this mindset.
Everyone wants fun events to do. Im not gonna sit here and tell you that in recent Years the Events in FFXIV havent been lacking and I wish they could do better.

I don't even get the "Turn FFXIV into WoW" deal, it IS WoW. It's just a super light version of it with waifus and friendship. The rest, we see as watered down nothingness.
You need to spend more time playing all those other games you say Yoshi lets you play, give you a better perspective of your environment.

I play other games, to play other games. I dont want every game I play to feel the same or have the same systems.
I dont play Apex Legends or Call of Duty and want them to feel the same. Nor would I want what I like about them to be in/like FFXIV. Or ninja gaiden.
People say they want PvP, and M+ and the glam system (everyone wants this actually) and reward systems and this diverse skill tree for specs that WoW does. So thats where the felel of "Turn FFXIV into WoW comes from
Because alot of these ideas, are just from WoW And once again if I have to spell it out, Im not necessarily against some of these ideas. Its just an observation.
