Looking at other Regions playing XIV

I play on EU Light - Every content that isnt part of MSQ or recent high end content is dead. Completly dead. Wanna do the Ivalice Raids to unlock Bozja? Dead, 1hour+ queuetimes during prime time. Deep dungeons that arent the 10 floor spammed to level? Dead. Even the new Deep Dungeon is already dead. Wanna do anything thats not part of MSQ you have to schedule your playtime around some obscure discord servers you can only find through digging old reddit threads.

Years of playing NA and the massive decline since the beginning of Shadowbringers. I've made several threads before talking about the state of XIV. The game has flaws a lot of them. But in other regions said flaws don't keep people from playing the game, doing content, helping others. In NA you can barely do content without someone refusing to do their job, refusing to participate, now knowing their role, and its just handwaved a lot. I may have PF, which is fun, and it's nice, but I should be able to queue with randoms and just "do" content.

Is this me saying new people aren't welcome? No. Am I saying people don't forget or can't be returners, etc, etc. No. What I am saying is that in any other MMO NA people do the things I see EU and JP doing, normally, so why is XIV NA the odd one out compared to two other regions playing the same game.

As for NA, lowest clear rates, inability to say much without it turning to throwing mud. I get runs regularly where if I ask my co healer to heal I can shit for it over them just playing the game. And this isn;t saying the same can't happen elsewhere, but its been p normal to just work together and make the run fast elsewhere.

So just a combination of things all adding up to this.

That's fair and it is a thing I've seen brought up multiple times elsewhere in terms of how we run our DF/PF. Not entirely sure the reason it started (I've only played since 5.2) but all I can say from my own knowledge is it's just how things are done here. If anyone else can provide a more specific reason/knows when it started or why then I'd be curious to know why too.

As far as the others, I believe you that you've had a lot of bad experiences with people here but I also can say the opposite. It's extremely rare that I run into a party that derails into chaos or turns into a situation that needs someone kicked or removed. The usual I see is someone leaving a PF party after a few pulls. That's not to say I've never had people act like children, just they are situations I can count on one hand compared to the others that have run peacefully.

Perhaps (and I truly don't mean this in a negative fashion so I apologize in advance if it comes off that way) if the environment of NA isn't to your liking, maybe trying your luck in another region that more suits your own ideals would be a positive and increase your own happiness from the game. Ultimately no one can change anyone else or force anyone to do anything, you have to just worry about yourself and doing what is best for you and your experience. If NA doesn't meet your expectations then that's okay, just is it personally worth continuing to deal with yourself?

Oh is it a similar situation over there? Interesting. I know for Bozja/Eureka discord servers are used (in particular for BA & DRS just because of how much coordination is needed) but can still manage to pop Ivalice with a bit of a wait. I think the longest I had was 30-45m?

Half of NA is made up of EU players. I think it's unfair to say NA bad but EU good when we have a mix of EU and even Oceania players within the NA community. For example, a large portion of the high end raid community on NA actually doesn't live within America at all. The role play areas also attract a lot of other regions over here to play. NA is a pretty hybrid mix all around. To say we aren't normal would extend to the other regions as well.

Edit: And no I think refuses to be normal is the best way to word it, as no other MMO or Region within this MMO has these specific problems.

I frankly think NA should jus be better about playing the game. The game should fulcilitate people learning better. If EU and Jp can just learn based on the vague info given great, but NA should just be better at this point. I run multiple characters, I play multiple regions and I'm fine. But to deny the reality of how this isn't healthy for this game period is also not a good look for a business. live and let live is nice when it not damamging a game already filled with flaws that make it less appealing, but that's not the case with XIV.

And I know not everyone in NA will agree with this, but I've said it before and its not wrong, this isn't how a game like this will survive another 10 years.

Try a different DC, as thats Yoshi Ps literal answer to that problem, low pop servers go play on higher pop servers. Different conversation entirely, I'm not talking about how dead content is, I'm talking about people not wanting to play the game in runs, refusing to play their roles, working together in runs, and helping newer players learn.

As I said already, can want/wish for people to do what you want but it's ultimately not up to you. It's up to the others as well and how they want to play. All you can really do is make decisions for yourself.

I wouldnt get my hopes up. Screencap this but 7.0 will be the final straw for the playerbase and this game will be dead
