One of these days there going to add those programs that one's don't want that block third party programs. If it happens, I'm going to blame all the ones using mods and other third-party programs.

Might be tricky tho, japan has laws against programs that search through your pc for stuff. I think searching through the ram is allowed but anticheat software that only does that is EASILY tricked. I mean why do you think people can still cheat in games that already have that sort of programs?

So it would be a nuisance for people who don't mod, more spaghetti code for SE and after a little brief period folks would mod again like before.

No it doesnt for Christs sake. Not to mention what anti cheat actively searches your pc? They scan processes, the games folder and memory.

Can we stop repeating this provably false stuff? Elden Ring has EAC. You know, a japanese game. They are probably too lazy or too incompetent, considering they dont even do basic memory scans which is why all the plugin stuff is not detectable. FF14 is genuinely a side project for square. Trying to come up wit any excuses for all the flaws of the game is just coping.

I think you got the wrong idea, I'm all on board for them wiping out ERP mods, i think its disgusting.

If removing ERP R18+ mods means people will play the game as intended, and do actual content, then please do.

Or it will just make these people quit ? Ever thought of that ? Mods are what is keeping these people in the game, not the boring criterion dungeons with 0 rewards or the other new dungeons that have absolutely 0 value whatsoever because they have no rewards, or the oh so amazing roulettes in which you end up with literally 2 spells because it's so much fun to be put in a low level dungeon.

The fact that you think they can just somehow get rid of mods, and these people will just stick around and start to do content out of the blue is very delusional at best.

FFXIV is an amazing game for its social aspect, that's honestly and I am sorry, this is my opinion, all it's good for, the content is extremely mediocre and the pace is even worse, there is literally barely anything at all, and the only response you get when you call that out is "you havent done anything the game has to offer", like what ? Catch 10000 fishes for an achievement ? Or do 100 000 desynths ? Or run the same boring dungeon with 0 difficulty a thousand times ?

It needs to be understood that there is a substantial amount of people who started FFXIV just for the (E)RP scene and absolutely nothing else, for those people it's not that the content is in any way lacking, it's that they straight up don't have interest in it no matter what it is, taking away those people's tools to get what they want to do done wouldn't make them magically interested in other aspects of the game, they would just quit, and thus FFXIV would lose a substantial amount of revenue.
