Game is Dead Guys, nobody is playing, everyone is bored ~Stormpeaks...or someone idk
Look at the Steamcharts. Copium and blahblahblah.
They actually think they did a "gotcha" moment, but they actually proved my point xD
Aether is the only DC in which there is content around, people literally have to go there, otherwise they can barely do any content at all, they are actually forced to DC travel to even be able to do it.
Although if DC travel werent a thing, which it wasnt for the last decade, then PF would be blowing up right now since people are "forced" having to deal with their community. They actually think they did a "gotcha" moment, but they actually proved my point xD

Anything to keep player engagement levels up.What would you suggest as 'more content'. Please be specific. How would you expect that content to be released? Again, please be specific.
Do not use "I don't know, that's the publisher's job", as the publisher appears to feel they're getting a good return for their investments with the current content.
Can you use other MMORPG content releases to point to one or two subscription-based games that maintain the content schedule you're expecting?
Does a long grind = content in your mind? If that's the case, I highly recommend Path of Exile.
People look down on content like Eureka, but Eureka, to this day, is still active and thriving because the content lasts longer than the patch it released on.
Island Sanctuary had so much potential, but in reality what we got was 1 week of '5 minutes maintenance on the island' to get max level then never touch it again.
Variant Dungeons too had massive potential, but what we got was 'get mount, never touch again'.
The rewards? Overly expensive Materia that is easily obtained in other ways and a couple of mounts.
What reasons would i have to do Eureka in 2023.
1. It is insanely good GIL/h if you farm bunny fates.
2. Armor and Weapons that are Unique, and act towards power progression within those zones.
3. Baldession Arsonal, A very easy raid in the standards of todays raiding scene, but rewards (in my opinion) one of the best mounts in the game, alongside items that sell for good profits.
4. The Community. There is a THRIVING community in Eureka in every Region, and they are always willing to jump in and help people, it still has that MMO feeling that the rest of the game is losing.

Do you see where I'm coming from?
The content that we used to get was long lasting content, that even to this day is still active.
The content we are getting now stagnates within a single patch and is not even remotely worth the time investment.
I was actually about to do an edit about it, even if people were sent back to their home dcs, the amount of venues would still be bigger compared to the amount of endgame parties, by quite a margin, also to take in mind is that a lot of venues dont publicly advertise, there are hundreds and hundreds of venues every day, that are all on a particular website that I actually forgot the address of
The point I am making is that the venue community is actually massive compared to the "endgame" community, and there is a reason for it, the content is unsatisfying. You dont see people do this in WoW, and I have played it for an extremely long time, yes there is ERP, but it's a minuscule niche of people that does it, a very small minority, the main activity of the game is the actual.. game and content, not venues or ERP
An exploratory zone a la Bozja or Eureka would probably have saved this expansion to be fair, at least to some extent, but even on that they managed to fail and didnt deliver anything, instead we got a failed M+ version from WoW and islands, a content that is as boring as can be, that is also purely automatized on day 1 of the content dropping, 2 if you're slow, so you have to visit it once a week maybe, and that's pretty much it, great content there.Yeah it's a shame. I thought SHB was pretty barren but COVID happened so it was whatever I guess and yet shockingly EW is worse. The new stuff we got like Variant and IS shouldn't have replaced exploratory zones and stuff. It would've been great extra content on top of the exploratory zone stuff.
I'll buy 7.0 for the graphics update because I really wanted that to happen and I put my money where my mouth is but if 7.0 is another 2 years of the same bread I'm not gonna last much longer. Even for a big fan of the franchise with this content cycle it's impossible not to move on after a while.
Also the next expansion seem to be in an absurdly long time, we are looking as far I remember at early to mid 2024 (heard a few saying may or a bit before that), that's an entire year of this, so yeahhhhh...

Too bad that Eureka is absolutely boring to do (literally 80% of the players in the zone whom hit max level are afk'ing at the base waiting for NM to pop), the only reason Eureka thrives is because there's always new players or alts running around for progression. Relics only get you so far and once you acquire them there's literally nothing else to use them on besides BA. It needs more content if we're going to use it as a "high standard", which I honestly dont believe so. And I'm saying this as someone whom grinded all of Eureka and done BA THRICE on 3 different characters. The leveling experience is passable but still boring. Classic WoW had better progression than Eureka.Anything to keep player engagement levels up.

Get out of here with that bs nonsense. Eureka flippin' sucks as content
Is the amount of PF parties even a good metric to measure the liveliness of the game? Most players don't even use it, but they're still playing.
THIS 100%
It also proves just how efficient this game's duty finder is for most of the content. Obviously not always the case but if you notice, a lot of PF groups have very specific goals and attachments for wanting to form the group.
