Y'now, I know someone who has had the opposite perception, he completely failed to perceive fem Au Ra or Miqos as cutesy in any way because the primary exposure to those races are Sadu and Y'shtola respectively, and it only clicked in place they are meant to be when he made alts of those races, when he was confused on how he managed to completely miss those elements, I pointed out that Sadu and Y'sh very rarely emote(in the sense of using animations that we can use by typing commands in chat), and when they do, they use a very select few emotes, cuz if they used the general selection from their races, they'd give off the completely wrong energy than the writers intend out of them.
And hey who said that tiny ladies can't be awesome?
Almost nobody ever said that. Most people (except a tiny minority) prefer tiny ladies. There isn’t one western dude I ever met who said tall girls are better, on the contrary and we can see this in game as well by having au ra and miqo as the most played race by both women or men.
Whenever I meet another fellow Viera lady, most of the times it’s a woman irl as well, yet when I bump into tiny ladies there’s a high chance thats a dude.
You don't need to get defensive, I was replying to one specific person who clearly stated as much, and from the way that they worded it, it felt like they believe it looks ridiculous, I am someone who thinks stature plays very little role in how a character comes off, and things like demeanor and, for lack of better word, "energy" they give off are substantially more important.Almost nobody ever said that. Also I am a woman IRL as well, in fact my character matches my IRL height, because I was lured into Au Ra initially because dragon people (kinda, sorta, not strictly speaking by lore but close enough), and I made my character min height because I am fairly short, without realizing how tiny fem Au Ra are at the time, then I later Fanta'd to change my character's height to match my own, which makes me a near max height fem Au Ra.
I wasn’t getting defensive, I was telling you that everyone loves short stature regardless if the characters look cute like miqote or stronger like au ra xaela, almost everyone finds them awesome as they are the most played races in game, and yes most women play them but so do most guys and the number of men playing ffxiv worldwide used to be significantly higher at least some years ago, ratio 70% to 30% so all in all most people don’t say you’re not awesome, no need to feel like that because of one person, the forums are louder than the rest when they ask for tall strong women. You don't need to get defensive, I was replying to one specific person who clearly stated as much, and from the way that they worded it, it felt like they believe it looks ridiculous, I am someone who thinks stature plays very little role in how a character comes off, and things like demeanor and, for lack of better word, "energy" they give off are substantially more important.

Yes, short is popular. My Miqo'te is as short as she can be. Though I also made her bust small as it would look off if she was super stacked like most Miqo'te I see.
I fully expect the female Hrothgar to be short and more humanoid just so most players will want to play as them. Making them closer to Miqo'te or Au'ra is the only way they'll gain any traction.
All ladies are great. Be it a fun size snack or tall dommy mommy. Both have things great about them.Almost nobody ever said that. Most people (except a tiny minority) prefer tiny ladies. One of the things that drew me to Viera is their tall stature. Whenever possible, I try to play tall women in games because I'm one in real life.
I'm hoping fem Hrothgar end up being tall, or at least average height, but if not...well, I'd be disappointed, but I'd still play one.

That would be the intelligent thing to do, but they already said they would pander to the minority, even though they already have 3 ugly races to play. (highlander, roe, elezen)Yes, short is popular.
