Hostage...what a moronic take. You only have to wait a few seconds. Go take a sip of water (or whatever you drink), take a few deep breaths and it will be over.

My dad was once held hostage by an armed group for 4 months (my mom was too but for about a week). Although all hostages save one survived, the whole thing ended up in a bloodbath with 17 deaths. So, you being unable to wait a few seconds for a short cutscene to play in the comfort of your house and calling this being taken hostage so that someone can enjoy the story is a total joke and says a lot about your little persona.

I am personally happy to let new players enjoy the game and watch cutscenes for the first time. A lot don't know about the inn, it can be tedious to navigate the menu and by then you have already been spoiled. I have also noticed that a few cutscene parts are missing here and there.

I mean that's not how it works cause it applies simultaneously regardless of the point you are making. It really doesn't matter when it comes to Alliance raids, they are designed as catch up content for casuals to get raiding gear. You are going to be running a raid once a week for a coin at the least or 3 raids for 3 coins as soon as 6.4 lands. This issue happened with Prae where people would run off or engage in bosses when people were in cutscenes. Cutscenes now in battle content unless in a phase transition are rather short and barely impact player time. Hence the whole thread being really meaningless honestly.

God forbid people are new to content and want to watch a cutscene which usually are like 20 seconds at most...it isn't long really. Its almost like patience has left a generation.

There are plenty more than 20 seconds. Be honest with your argument at least

I think it would be a decent idea but only if there is someone running the dungeon/raid for the first time. If everyone has done it, then can be made them skippable. Save in Prae which is in a special category with XP and tomes (including mogtomes )rewards, all dungeon/raids cutscenes are pretty short.

Take that time and use it as a gift. Send someone you care about a kind/loving message. Strengthening bonds in your life is never a bad idea and what better time than when you're waiting and bored anyway. Life is fast and cruel. Take advantage of non-busy moments as much as you can, while you still can. One day it'll be too late.
