Who cares? Op said to interact with something inside the house. The interaction may not be necessary but it is 100% inconsequential as it obviously implies the necessary action which is entering the house… It’s not as if he would have misdirected people by telling them they only need to step on their lawn. There’s no reason to make a big deal out of this. Instead of straight out accuse him of “spreading misinformation” one could have simply pointed out the slight (and totally insignificant) inaccuracy without being rude.

Tbf, arguing over the internet is also ignoring the body and intent of the original post and hyper focusing on a single mostly irrelevant inaccuracy, completely derailing the conversation before it's even had a chance to begin.

Actually I did just that, and instead of admitting they were wrong, they went full childish mode and started posting a cringe gif and acting smart.

All they had to do was say that they were wrong, but apparently it was too hard for their ego.

The fact of the matter is, there have been reports of people who have lost their homes after they entered it and exited it. I've seen it occur on here for longer than you've been a member on this forum and it's also not the only space that it has been reported (you can find reports back as far as 2018 if you dig around). Whether or not Square chooses to acknowledge it is out of our hands entirely and they might not even be fully aware of it because it's very rare. Some people have owned up to it being a mistake of their own while others have not received an email or any sort of notice that their house was going to be demolished (which is where my situation falls into play because the person I was on shared with did not receive an email and we also reset our respective private houses at the same time in the event one of us goes on a break and the other can keep things organized).

If people want to turn their lights on and off or interact with something for their own comfort then what does it affect your life or anyone elses? This is just a really weird hill to die on and only makes it sound like the people knitpicking this literally irrelevant detail are the ones desperate to be right.

There is no need to be desperate to be right as Atelier Bagur posted, let me put it in bold, an OFFICIAL source of Square Enix regarding auto demolition.

There is literally 0 evidence that you need to interact with anything in the house, except the source "trust me bro" which is not reliable.

We get it, unless it's printed in triplicate with bold underlining and plenty of photographic evidence you won't believe it.

I also stopped taking everything Square says at face value since 6.0 dropped and they've consistently been breaking things with each patch. I leave some room for doubt now.

Ignoring all that, what's the current price range for a medium again? I was trying to upgrade earlier this year and I remember I had about 20 mil, but that was before I splurged on nice new crafter/gatherer gear.

I'm at about 15-18 mil again now, so might try my luck if there's a bunch free on my server

I have cancelled auto demo a LOT, and I have never had a single issue, so obviously I dont believe what some random person is saying as it is, not sure what is wrong with that, and I'll gladly believe SE more than some people that might say that because they regret not cancelling auto demo and they have hopes to get their houses back (even though it wont happen).

Now of course if you show evidence or anyone else shows evidence, that's a whole different story, once again ,what is wrong with that ?

That would require people having some sort of psychic ability to predict that they would need to. I highly doubt just a photo of them standing in front of an empty plot would be enough for you, right? Or were you expecting them to video record each time they walked into their house in the event this had a chance of happening? Do you record every time you walk into your house and store it away in the event you lose yours?
