why we still have hairs race and gender locked?

what the point of this? make all hairs be used by what ever race and gender you like.
what the logic of this lock now?
now to the people that will clearly say "its hard work and take time and they don't have people that know how to work or have time" relax this is something they can do over time not all at one go.

Cause it takes development time. That's the answer, plain and simple.

Be that cause they don't want to put resources into it or cause they cut it to focus on other stuff is up to debate.

i don't know just do like 2 to 4 each patch over new hairs that are a total fail for way to long now. they dont need to make them from 0 as well. you just adjust them to the different models. as its now some really amazing hairs are locked to races people don't play much.

how its need to have hairs only its race can get? logically how it works? faces and body is a clear unic race thing but hair? like we are not at the start of ff14 when it was a ps3 game. this limitations are not helping no one.

There are some hairs that only make sense for certain races, like how there's a few Au Ra hair that includes extra horn bits, but for everything else the devs don't seem to care that much that I don't mind SE spreading around.

A 1.0 Lalafell-exclusive hairstyle ended up on Miqo'te in ARR. And there's a bunch of other hairstyles on Miqo'te that are also made with normal/pointy ears in mind so there's awkward gaps in the hair where ears should be. But stuff like that has been around for 10 years now so it can be up to player discretion if it looks too weird.

Considering Au Ra horns are their ears, I am pretty certain those "extra horn bits" are just hair accessories that can be easily worn by anyone, they aren't supposed to be actually attached to your body, maybe they are inspired by the natural presence of horns, but that's irrelevant to the ability of anyone wearing them because they think they are neat.

If their ears have evolved into large horn structures, then there is no reason to think that they can't have also evolved additional horns on other spots on their heads.

Because they don't match your scale/horn color, fem Au Ra has either dark blue or white scales, the hair bits are always grey, so they aren't part of your lizardy bits.

Honestly, I believe the pandemic slowed a lot of development. If I recall correctly, SE just trained a whole new batch of developers. With the big graphics overhaul coming up in 7.0, I wouldn't be surprised if we see the hairstyles unlocked when it is released.
