Hard to take you seriously when you complain that "battlepasses are psychologically stressful".
It's actually astonishing that you've made it in life this far.
Can tell OP never played a game with a season battle pass.
You are not punished for taking breaks. It's an aesthetic item that you don't need. It has a cost in playtime, feel free to pay it or not to pay it.If you are punished for taking breaks, you are not "free to take breaks". You and others keep trying to say something along these lines but contradict yourself immediately and then try to make it sound like it's my argument that has faulty logic. Kindly re-examine what you just said and try to tell me that makes sense.
I really don't get why people are so prone to defend exploitative and gross marketing like this. If this were a new MMO it would be laughed into an early grave. I suppose that despite playing the game less than I have, you and others making your argument just can't see past their love for the game.
If that were to happen I'd be fine with it.
However, it has been over a year and nothing regarding this idea has taken place yet.
Let's say you see a pair of sneakers in a store that you think are really cool. You already have enough shoes at home, but still it would not be a financial burden for you so you might as well, but you still decide you'd rather not spend the money. You end up with no new sneakers, but your feet are plenty covered anyway. Have you been punished?

Battle passes are "gacha garbage" too.
No one is saying that you shouldn't have to play PVP to get PVP rewards. You just shouldn't be coerced into playing over 100 games of PVP in a short period of time on threat of missing out on those PVP rewards forever. Your argument has conflated arguments from people who don't like Roulette Bonuses (literally who is arguing like this in here?) to people who just don't want to be forced to play a game mode they don't like over 100 times in quick succession on threat of missing out on unique items forever.
100 games of PVP is 100 games of PVP, regardless of what span of time you actually decide to play those games of PVP over. The effort and time put into those 100 games don't change because you played a game or two every week, and not everyday.
I don't really mind the fact that the coffer's at rank 25. The requirement to get more Trophy Crystals after 30 DOUBLING feels absurd though.
On the topic of past rewards, the fact that the only thing currently buyable from the Feast is essentially just participation rewards from it (which Series Malmstones also are) i don't see any issue in making the rewards of past ones buyable later on at an exorbitant price.
5k for the emote/first framer kit, 10k for the mount/second framer kit, and 20k for the attire coffer sounds reasonable, and if you missed all of last season, you'd need to obtain 50k Trophy Crystals.
Because of technical limitations, there's a limit on Trophy Crystals to only 98k per season. (Yes, this is real. The "Infinite" caps at 100.)
Completing a season to 30 gets you 28k. This means if someone wants the "good stuff" from a past season, they're going to need 200k series experience in the current season. This is still extremely offputting to casual players, but does allow for people who want the gear but missed out on it earlier to get it through sufficient grinding.
What you already said is what you were saying but hoping that using strong words like "threat" and "coercion" tricks the reader into thinking you are crusading against evil. It's not a threat, no one is smashing your car windows or taking away your medicines if you don't get Rank 25. It's not coercion, you can choose to work for the reward, or you can choose you don't care enough about it. And it's definitely no amount of small time, unless you voluntarily make it small, by taking breaks. You can comfortably get to rank 25 by the end of the battlepass by averaging one game of CC a day, and they last less than 5 minutes.
For developers to tickle that FOMO you were talking about, the FOMO needs to exist, and it looks to me like you are more predisposed to it than many others. And it's the same FOMO that makes you fail to realize you are responsible for taking what's on offer in the time it's on offer, or to let it go.
Go back to my sneakers example, but this time it's limited edition sneakers. Would you say Nike is coercing and threatening you because stock will eventually run out?
I don't mind grinding to 25 to get the glam. What I hate is the fact the mounts from PVP are from achievements from winning and those take FOREVER.Essentially the title.
I know you want people to play PvP so it wasn't a waste of development cost, but putting it at Rank 25, and making the ranks take more EXP every 5 ranks is shite.
I hate PvP in most games, I know it wasn't made for me, but with people who want to play other games, do IRL shit, and suffering through the myriad of shite through the Crystalline conflict (Getting Oneshot, getting stunned locked for the 100th time, teams who don't group up, heals not going off cause of server tick etc) is just not fun.
No Matter how cool the next CC Glam is, I ain't going through this shite again lol
Spam CC for a day and get your reward track maxed out, it's not that hard cmon i do it every time...
