If your counter argument is I stated ranged jobs are not split, then you need to point out where I said that. And of course the devs view the job roster as 10 ranged and 9 melee because it's a fact, and would be erroneous for them or anyone else to think or state otherwise. Healers are irrevocably ranged combatants, and tanks are in a similar fashion melee fighters. If this is an epiphany for you, it's simply because you've never thought of them that way. However, that's not enough to dispute that fact.

You said I know players think the possibility is high for a new magical and physical ranged DPS because there are three of each, but this is wishful thinking. They are actually listed as separate in the official 14 site. As well as having a whole separate list of Role Actions. You don’t see Bard’s out there using Addle.
