Who Is Your Favorite FFXIV Mom?

I know she gets no development, but does anyone remember/know if Vauthry's mum died in childbirth? That was another villain's mom we got to see.

Not a candidate for best mom, surely, just another mom in a big list of moms that we've barely scratched the surface of with all these Miounne votes! Maybe I shoulda made the thread, "Let's Talk About Moms." or something.

I think she was seen holding the infant Vauthry while the father was crowing about how he could tame sin eaters just by being there, so she survived childbirth. But she never got any lines, and neither parent is around in modern times. Hopefully they just died, but given Vauthry's methods of "disappearing" people......

It's possible the lion Sin Eater with him was his father, and the winged angel Sin Eater his mother.

Possible, but impossible to confirm. I mean, the most likely answer is that they were just left out because there was no more need for them after those flashbacks and the writers didn't bother to come up with a definite end for them, but we'll likely never know.

There's no indication that she got attached to the previous painter like she did with Alphinaud. Alphinaud is several things: young, charismatic, and very pretty looking. He's also kind, intelligent, and understanding. These things are what made Dulia-Chai dote on him so much. There's also no indication that the Chais knew what was going to happen when they fired the previous painter, who simply got led away after the Chais were unsatisfied with his work. They're also deeply regretful about it and apologize to him in person while saying that what they did to him is wrong.

Well....I think no one mentioned her but Gatty's mother Sanche from the Stormblood WHM job quest takes it for me...I remember feeling really sad at the end.

Also alot of characters seem to be motherless in this game...

The lionesque sineater and the father are seen in the same room in the cutscene, the lion is there when the mother is cradling the child and the father comments about sineaters being docile before his Vauthry.
