Got a group of four warriors.

Almost died laughing.

Also I'm afraid of the 151+ floors. I keep hearing stories of how truly scary they are.

So I'm sitting here at the exit of Toto-rak waiting on the single target Bard to not roll and wait for loot time outs. I know I'll replace the gear quickly but I also want it so I can do GC turn ins and get my alts rank up.

Everyone was single target, the tank was single target, the bard was single target, the tank would single pull...know who WASN'T single target? The healer. Just spammed helios over and over.

Leveling roulette dumps me into Dzemael Darkhold. PLD, WHM, NIN, BLM. Tank wall pulls everything before the first boss (pretty standard, the crystal light stuff does crazy damage reduction) and all goes well. Then tank asks "you good with big pulls?" and healer says "uh sure." Then tank proceeds to pull everything into the next boss room, all 14 mobs (and yes I unsynced it later to count lol). It goes poorly lol. The tank is already dead before the poor BLM even gets to the party.

But it does make me curious if that pull is possible outside of old sac strats. I'm sure it is with the right party comp, but it's probably better left to premades (or at least parties where both DPS can AOE while running).

Not curious enough to try it myself, of course, but curious regardless.

Couldn’t clear a run of Meridianum because our WHM decided Holy spam on bosses did more than Stone II. They also stood in everything and healed less than the bare minimum. I’ve never wiped once let alone four times in that dungeon until then. What the Christ…

Here's something positively special... reminder that this timer starts at 120.



Highlights:
- We wiped 3 times at Angra.
- I often died because the Tanks were dead and I took aggro.
- We used Healer LB3 at Angra.
- It was made worthless because nobody was killing adds while I was dead, and thus they blased us with Eyes On Me as soon as we got up.
- People started leaving(rightfully so I am just insane) and Alliance C remained without a Tank for the rest of the raid.
- We had two Disband motions, I voted Yes both times but it did not pass either time.
- Rest of the raid was comparatively smooth but still notably slow.
- We did Belly twice on Cerb, the second time the HP hit that Cerb takes killed it.
- We saw Succ twice at CoD.
- Worms never happened thankfully.

And people have the gall to say CT is dull, this was the most exciting Alliance Raid that I ever did, in the worst way possible...

Had a Stone Vigil last night. Had swapped to AST just to level it. During first boss (iirc one of the first in the game with no owie orange markers for some AoEs, you have to read its castbar and/or clue in on its physical behavior), one of the DPS in the party decides right in front of boss, next to tank, was a great place to stand. Since he has an unhighlighted forward conical AoE, DumbPS gets downed. I swiftraise him, and admittedly this is my bad to some extent, I didn't immediately heal him, assuming he'd be cognizant of his raise invul and give me a GCD or 2 to deal with tank's health dropping like a rock with Essential Dignity long since on cooldown. AST, mind you, not having a particularly strong area heal, especially at this level, and besides which I wasn't gonna cast an area heal with pretty low potency for just two actually-injured party members when I could barely keep up on tank with GCDs after losing time on the Raise (I'll admit I'm not a perfect healer, I know experienced ones could've weaved a swiftraise I without losing a GCD, mea culpa).

Mind you, I was assuming a person who stood in unmarked AoEs because he hadn't yet learned/understood them would also be aware of raise invul.

Nope, he immediately runs back to stand right next to tank and presumably starts attacking immediately, because mere seconds later he's already dead. Obviously, I'm not gonna slow raise, and at this point even a slightly-buffed lightspeed-aided raise would still cost me several precious GCDs. Screw it, leave him.

He starts raging in chat, first time I've ever seen the quintessential "uh where was heals???" (he had also said it after first KO). The second time he goes "heals???" Followed by "tank taking aggro??????" Mind you, tank never lost aggro and had stance, poor DumbPS apparently thought the boss aggroed on him rather than him standing in an AoE.

He ends up ragequitting, naturally, while I'm typing something like "heals was keeping tank alive, who had aggro the whole time. You were standing in an unmarked AoE, some bosses don't have marks for every one they use". I send it basically right as he quit. Well, okay, he didn't get the lesson I guess. Other DPS, tank, and I all collectively agree it was entirely on him, and just resign ourselves to a slower run after having a bit of a giggle; fortunately, we got a join in progress DPS only a couple pulls later.

I want to say yes IF everyone is with the tank AND both DPS have AoEs and use properly. Also the tank does their mitigation and cooldowns right.

Also the healer ONLY focuses on healing.
