yeah why would someone that completed something in this game want credit for doing something in this game? the entitlement some people have. i can't believe people think doing something in xiv would expect to be given credit for doing something in xiv.

going just fine actually. i'm slowly working towards my luminaries(have 2 so far and over halfway to 2 more) and working on the dungeons as well. i don't mind that they are there and i am working my way towards them, but i still felt i needed to post the feelings on having no credit towards them. i just wish they had looked and said ok this is the fewest amount of synths a rank 50 could have done and given people the minimum credit. at least it wouldn't have felt all the time and effort was wasted.

just because i don't agree with the handling of it doesn't mean i won't take my time towards doing them.

oh i agree with you there. my posts were more of just voicing displeasure and not saying i won't take the time to do them again.

my only issue is they could have even said for a rank 50 they'd even give credit for 10 1-10, 50 11-20, 100 21-30, 200 31-40, 1000-41-50. that way at least people felt they got some credit for the previous work even though it was nowhere near what was actually put in. that way if you were in the 11-20 range you would have been given partial credit for the 1-10 range so they felt as though their time did have some meaning.

i have never now nor ever will ask for them to just go back and say ok here's your tool. it was just more of pointing out the way it's handled now in case they add something else in the future to look back on and say this could have been a better way to handle it.

I realize the team may not have been tracking Crafting & Gathering Attempts, etc., but they could simply look at our Character's History and they *do* know when we hit Rank 50 for our Crafting & Gathering Classes. From that date, they could've retroactively provided even *nominal* / partial credit for # of Attempts for everyone who put in their time.

It also made it worse that all the Disciples of War & Magic Achievements *were* retroactively tracked and people got their Achievements instantly awarded retroactively on Day 1 of the Achievements being introduced.

@ those that are fine with it: I realize they won't change it at this point, but SE's handling of it was shortsighted and it felt like a slap in the face for all DoH and DoL who did put in the time. Of course we'll move on at this point, some of us are just voicing our opinion on how it was handled.
