SE needs to do something about all the hate bait trolls in these forums

Hot take, when nobody feeds the trolls, meaningful discussions would be possible. I read on the first posts that SE should do something about it, but what is your real wish?

A team that reads all threads 24/7?

A forum is only as good and as clean as the player use it. He could make 100000 Topics, if nobody would answer it, and simply flag it, they would sink.

This is not the forum post for that. We can debate about this in another thread, what I am complaining about is the blatant hate posts that seem to pop up every day. It's not good for our community, and the lack of action is really starting to grind my gears.

I would agree, if what you were talking about is an unwarranted hatred towards the game, the dev team, or SE. However you're making this about LGBT, spouting off some rhetoric nonsense about, "The gayer, the better." If you want to know why there is an escalating hatred towards this community, it likely has a lot to do with the fact they they feel the need to interject their value systems into every nook and cranny of people's everyday lives and they are getting really fed up with it. If any action needs to be taken, it's removing BS threads that have nothing to do with FFXIV, complaints about lack of representation, and issuing bans to posters who don't comply.

It's a really good thing that my enjoyment in game heavily outweighs the psychobabble that takes place in the social circles. Good grief.

Umm... I'm sorry, but do you really think the state of the forums is due to LGBTQ+ folk starting threads about representation? Threads which I am pretty certain the majority are not even started by suck folk, and are purposely done by trolls using the community as a shield? Threads where the most of replies end up being against the OP and topic in question, with views ranging from indifference to outright hate speech? Even if we consider that some of them are done in good faith, you make it sound like it is demanding things in blood and pronouns, rather then ‘Oh this would be nice if the game added that.’ which they seem to start with.

That just feels like a rather twisted way to look on the rise of hate here and in the community at large.

This forum style is as old as the people playing the game. I think they outsource moderation a bit here, that is why they don't change it. WoW forum looks like the future in comparision and it is like almost 20 years old. Often in technical support threads, other players are giving better advise than the support guys.

And well, often you won't see what they do, cause they are in the shadows, potentially just deleting comments or whole threads, and then people forgot it existed. Instead of locking threads, they 99% just get deleted.

I think the forums are more for entertainment than constructive discussions about the game. Barely something gets attention unless it gets 100 pages of replies in one week, like male Viera request.
