Haha thanks. And yeah, despite enjoying it I am very undecided if I am actually gonna toss coin at the game. Whilst it was an easy choice for me not to touch the Wizard game for a number of reasons, this I feel is a little murkier given as there are still devs and workers at Blizzard trying to unionize ect. I was gonna avoid the beta at first due to that, but my bias love of the Diablo franchise caved in. At least I have a few more months to think about the situation more before making a choice!

I do not know, why everybody is so... hrm...salty about ff14 lately. I came a little over 1 year to eorzea. I played World of Warcraft since Wotlk, i used the same arguments for WoW and why i quit there, as some of you do here.

It could be me but after a few years, a game, as good as it is does not catch you like it used to be. Why not taking a break? Why not playing something other and enjoy coming back when there is new things to explore.

I like ff14 and i play every content there is, well atleast i try it all. I think the game has his weak points but no bitching on the forums will help. If you really cant stand it anymore, let it be. Take a break and come back! I will gladly welcome you back!

I'd be way less salty about taking a break(which i'll do after my sub runs out anyway) if I wouldn't lose my much cherished personal plot and FC, along with all my submarine work. Auto-demolition shouldn't be 45 days only in a game where taking breaks is recommended...

I am actually excited for Diablo 4. I tried the beta and it was fun. Actually gives you a challenge unlike this where it was made easy for the smooth brains. Nobody wants a challenge anymore sadly and rather have everything handed to them in this game.

Ever been on a hunt train with over 300 players in the same zone? I've conducted them (and hated almost every minute of it if I was being honest, I stick to conducting off peak hours on non-reset days now). We know the zones can hold more than that. We saw close to 500 players showing up for Chi FATEs when the expansion first came out.

Will the D4 zones expand to hold 500 players if a world boss is spawned or will they still be limited to 12 or even the 100 allowed in a region?

How would the FFXIV cities feel if there were only 12 players allowed into the same instance instead of several hundred?


You're proving the point that it's a multiplayer game, not a MMO. I understand that you're currently finding it more engaging than FFXIV but we're getting into design difference.

It sounds like you want an open world zone where you're constantly killing things. FFXIV has designed its open world zones around more focused activities that would be more difficult if the zones were packed with hostile mobs. It's a theme park with a lot of different rides. D4 is simply a killing field with the occasional commander pointing out where you need to kill next.

Trust me, I want you to find a game that you truly enjoy and are happy playing. I want the same for all players here, even the ones I frequently disagree with. That's why I'm always encouraging them to find other games to be playing when they can't do anything but complain about this one. It's not to get rid of them. It's to help them get a more positive gaming experience, and perhaps even return here with new ideas that would fit into a theme park MMORPG.

There comes a point when someone who is unhappy with the state of the game has to acknowledge that FFXIV may not be the right game for them, and that maybe the MMORPG genre in general is not the right genre for what they want. Our preferences do change over time. As an example, I used to also play a ton of Command & Conquer and Starcraft. I don't anymore. RTS is no longer a genre that interests me and the point has been driven home the few times I've tried to dust Starcraft off.

As for me playing D4, I already said I might use some of my dusty Battle.net Balance after it's been released. Even if it's not real money to me, I don't want spend it unless I'm fairly certain it's a game I have a good chance of enjoying. The original Diablo was a blast but I couldn't get into D2 and D3 was okay but then I got it for free during that one WoW promotion. I probably would have been even less impressed if I had to pay for it. I'm not one to jump on hype trains for games not yet or newly released so I'll wait for my friends that do before I commit. Maybe I've lost my interest in ARPGs just as I have RTS.

In the meantime, enjoy your adventures in Sanctuary. I wish you fortune and success. I'll be here playing the game that I still enjoy.

It was nice nearly dying a bunch of times on druid on veteran 2 despite 4 healpots and a selfheal.

Then i got a +1 to all defensive item which gave me free earth bulwark, and a legendary that makes my landslide refresh my bulwark. But i can already see endgame will be spicy if they keep ramping up the difficulty. They also said no/less legendarys item drops before 25(?) compared to beta. And id agree with that, by the time i had finished the beta campaign i had 4 legendaries

thats why you make sure to have a few active members you trust in your fc going in and out daily. that way if you do lose leadership then you got a chance to get it back. plus lots of people just keep subs to reset the auto demo timer. seriously. you can find people boasting about it all over.

It means I played the Games. Diablo II and III specifically.
So I don't think Diablo is an MMO. I have my own idea of what an MMO is with examples.
But I never played Diablo IV, so I don't know how it is. I even asked how it is and how it plays.

I don't like to insult people, but you cant be this Slow. Or are you intentionally trying to misunderstand me to Troll and Farm upvotes?
I probably should just listen to the Advice given to me, instead of trying to give you the benefit of the doubt.
