Big agree, and they did imply this would be the case, but they've been rather worryingly silent ever since. Only time will tell, I guess. Earning things = good, FOMO = bad. That's my take on it in a general sense. My biggest issue is anything involving FOMO
I dont mind things being exclusive to a mode now, but them disappearing entirely after really bugs the hell out of me
Ults take a lot of time and effort but the rewards will never disappear as the ult wont
Just want alt ways of getting it, with an obscene large amount of crystals or collars , after the fact
To all the people that complain about FOMO:
what made you start playing FF14 considering all the 1.0 stuff you cant get anymore?
Yeah they should either cut series experience requirements or move the cool thing down to 20 instead of 25.
I like pvp in ff14. It is the only mmo pvp I have enjoyed. But I have been doing near daily frontlines since the stupid expansion launched and I am tired of it. It shouldn't take me 3 and a half months of near daily pvp (near daily because Secure blows fuck that map). 2ish months would be fine.
"Go and grind CC instead!" FEH. CC is cool but it isn't as fun as frontlines to me, nor is it as time played efficient. May start doing a few rounds a day instead of frontlines just for varieties sake but... that isn't really better! Still more of a grind than it should be for something that's purely cosmetic!
Well I grinded the last 15 series levels I needed for the coffer yesterday, just so I can nag a bit lmao. And yes, the best advice that was posted few pages back about learning to enjoy/not care about losing is the most effective advice if you are looking to grind the thing in a short amount of time.
I think they should ultimately let you buy the coffer, or individual pieces of the glam, with trophy crystals. This would mean that if you just happen to accumulate enough trophy crystals during several series but never manage to hit 25 for whatever reason, you can still obtain the glam. You get 19k trophy crystals in the series rewards before level 25, so I think 20k trophy crystals for the glam coffer would be just fine (so max amount of trophy cystals you can hold at one time), and still a considerable grind that would force you to partake in PvP nonetheless. Alternatively they could sell each individual piece for 5k or so trophy crystals, so if you are only interested in one or two pieces, you don't have to do the whole grind just for a few pieces, but instead go for 5-6 levels instead.
Considering there are also several other options to spend your trophy crystals for, I don't think this would be a completely bad alternative.
dont like your question , "if you complain about fomo why are you even playing??" because there isnt fomo for 90% of the game doesnt mean i cant complain about the stuff that is
still sucks, a lot of changes are for the better, the chocobo and unique goobue gone sucks but theres actual alternatives for those
Not specifically to respond to you but this does raise an interesting question, how much Series EXP DOES Frontlines give?Yeah they should either cut series experience requirements or move the cool thing down to 20 instead of 25.

Like honestly I do believe you, but if things actually take you so long with the Daily, they should probably work in like +1000 Series EXP into Daily Challenge and adequate EXP for the average match length of FL.
A lot to my knowledge. But it also depends on where your team placed. I think it's like...1k for 3rd. 1,250 for 2nd. And 1.5k for 1st. In fact...hang on. I'm just gonna...go find out. Please look forward to it.Not specifically to respond to you but this does raise an interesting question, how much Series EXP DOES Frontlines give?

That is... staggeringly low, almost insulting. In Crystalline Conflict, on average the match lasts 5min discounting overtime, prep time and queue time, giving you 900 S-EXP for winning and 700 S-EXP for losing.
If I read the descriptions on Frontlines right, they can last up to 20min without overtime. For even the 1st Place to be worth the input regarding Series EXP, it would need to net like 3600-4000 S-EXP for 1st place, going down to like 3200-3500 for 2nd Place and about 3000 for 3rd Place, assuming a match went for 18-20min.
1500 for first place is paltry.
Ill await your results, but honestly this is just brutal. It should not need to take an avid Frontline player this much longer than a Crystalline Conflict player to reach Rank 25, the inpututput ratio is completely messed up.
Thats not alot. A CC win gives 900. And takes like 2-5minutes compared to a 15minute frontline. And if you get third in those 15 minutes you wasted ALOOOT of exp
assuming you lose a game in 3 minutes in CC. Each lose = 700 series exp. You could fit 5 loses into a single frontline lose for 3500 series exp
