Disappointed by the questions asked at today's Pax East panel.

I know I shouldn't have been too surprised that they tossed Yoshida so many softball questions and only deviated from the topic of the next 10 years. Yet when questions that have 80 likes don't even get picked and they chose one that only got one like. It just makes you wonder why did you even bother with liking most of the questions that got a lot of likes or even ask your question.

The one question that wasn't related to the topic was even dumb and shows how so many don't lurk in any lore discord sections or the lore section of these forums. Along with only knowing the name of the item in the English version. And that's what's the Heart of Sobeak. It's just black auracite. As it's literally just called Black Auracite Sobeak in the other languages. I doubt we'll learn much more about it.

There were so many other questions they could have picked that was worse and better than that one. Especially when it comes to the Lore. Yet this one like Bayhone said (who looked pretty good since the last time I saw them at a Q&A) maybe we'll stop seeing it getting asked. It probably only got asked cause it was one of those questions that only picked cause even they are tired of seeing it pop up all the time. It's literally a where are the peaches type question.

Dodging the hard questions is what they always do. At this point, the thread that they create to post questions in doesn't even have a purpose other than to give people the illusion that their questions actually matter.

They asked what it was. We got the answer to the Presence of Silver Tear Lake answer in that they can't tell us more about it now. That we might learn about it soon TM. Course the whole reason we know it's called Black Auracite Sabik is because Koji got asked what the Heart was many years ago at a different Q&A.

I know that they tend to dodge the harder questions. Which is why when Bayhone told us they were going to mostly stick to questions about the 10 year topic I lowered my expectations. Then they got into the Yoshida what's your favorite ____ only to toss in that one lore question at the last second. Where again it's such a softball question. When the highest numbered of like questions pertain to Blue Mage and they don't even touch those... it just makes you wish they asked him the favorite wine question instead.
