Am I the only one who feels bad declining FC invites?

I mean, I'm not solo by choice. It's just I always end up being kicked due to people not being used to having people with certain "social challenges/disabilites" being in their fc. Like I'm saving them the stress, as well as saving myself from getting hurt. *shrugs*

I've been in and out of Fc's, guilds, etc, for a lot of MMOs, and it resulted in disaster. Good thing in FFFXIV, they have things to progress in game that don't require playing with other people. Man I love Deep Dungeons, both enjoyable, love the lore, the weapons, fun, and I can reach my goals without having to be alienated in a social community.

Even before I transferred to Jenova, someone asked me to join their FC, and wanted me to join and said they hope I'll decide to join, even though I was like "I have a history of this, struggle with people, I always end up being kicked, I am usually not accepted and you don't want me to join". But they still was sure I would be a valued member if I join.

Maybe FC leaders are too trusting and nice. Like I feel bad because I know it's from a good place, because most fc leaders would just send you an invite and be done with it, but FC leaders I've met a lot, often got to know me and stuff. However in my opinion, things change when you go from making daily pleasantries to being forced to interact with them on a daily basis.

So like, I'm not solo "by choice", it's rather, I'm solo because I know people won't like me. And for other reasons, such as, requiring a bigger fc to be in for various reasons, like having people to do content with, especially endgame, and avoiding cliquey communities or communities where I could be alienated in.

It's like because I'm aware of my challenges and that when something clearly isn't working, and what I need to do to enjoy the game and prolong my stay.

Never feel bad about declining blind FC invites. If they whisper and send an invite I still class that as a blind invite. If they whisper and ask me to reply if interested - that's the way to go.

My alt got FC inv only once in 1.5 year, and I accepted it, coz nobody wants my alt anywhere, and my current FC invited me only to keep up with their FC name. I am like a local mascot.

ha.., I understand that.., cause I got alil twisted back when the old MSQ roulette still had 8 players. and when Ditching was common.
Felt bad for the sprouts. so I was very adamant about change to the roulette.

as you know, people didn't like getting told they couldn't game the system, when they were paid to not have a choice where they land.

but yeah, I just wish I had my Discord friends be NA, but most are EU, thus a FC was born.
And now looking for ppl, or ways to get rid of the excess minions and bardings, and orc-rolls to my alts.

I got kicked from a FC when I first started playing over that. It was on my original character back when we were in ShB patches, and I was doing roulettes with the FC for the first time.

FC leader told everyone to leave castrum, with one player in the group being a rank in the FC that hopped over to a new account so they could requeue. I refused and I told them that it was wrong. I got kicked and harassed for it.

My search info very clearly states "No, I don't want to join your FC." I find it harder to not be rude when they shoot an invite anyway.

Most I just ignore. Every so often, one hits the lottery and I get snippy with them.

Lol if you think people read your search info when recruiting. No need to be a jerk to people padding their fc. They’re the real winners having you decline

I get spammed by the same FC every time I step foot in the lavender beds even though I have blocked I don't know how many of their members. I told them to block me so they can stop being such a pain in my rear.... and they still do it. So I reported them. The mere notification sound of guild invites makes me want to flip tables now

Especially when they send you a nice whisper pouring their heart out on why they want you to join?

Like, as much as I want to support small to medium sized FC's, before I quit and came back. I was in the best/top FC of my entire data center. (of the data center I used to be in)

Once you been in a top FC for quite sometime, it's hard to go back to smaller ones with the same old tight knit people to socialize with and the limited amount of people to do content with. And a lot of smaller FC's tend to be ran by a couple (bf and gf, gf gf, bf bf, etc, married) which is already a no no for me. Because those are two people you gotta suck up to. But that's a story for another day.

Also smaller fcs are better for sprouts, who barely done any content.

if sending a whisper or whatever don't feel bad, just decline if youare not interested in it...... if it is ninja inviting just report as harrashment... and don't feel bad about reporting either.

when balmung became locked down and FC recruiting became extremely aggressive due to no new players / characters, i became numb to the same song and dance of declining FC invites. now i don't get them as much, but i still don't feel bad. a simply "im not interested, thank you" is usually good enough. though every once and awhile i do get some nasty responses to even that which just makes it amusing lol
