I would want more character customization options for the existing races, if they aren't adding more they could at least do that.

my wishful hope is that they fix the server tick between mechanics and player movement.
Outside of the visual upgrades which granted we haven't seen their high res textures on the world or creatures with the physical based renderer yet (only saw it on characters) I am more interested in them talking about a bigger allocation towards animation as a whole which they said longer emotes but this could also extend into more in depth emotes that can make the MSQ which is dependent on them a good boost of variety.
I would like them to rework the level and fate system and personally make it take much longer to level crafter/gatherers. Having your 100 levels made levelling a cake walk and they honestly should rework it or make it much more of a harder choice to expend a leve on this X job rather than Y job.
Outlandish expectation....make the original 3 cities seamless :P It would be really really nice for them to make them a seamless experience.
This is more an overall hope for the future. I doubt 7.0 will bring anything like it, but I hope they start to consider more free movement. I get that some limitations exist and most likely will forever, but some spots on a map are just boxed off for no reason, and it makes the game feel less immersive than it could. Some stuff is just cordoned off for what feels like "Well, what if someone can fall down?" or "What if someone loses the way or gets a little stuck" reasons, and it just makes me kind of roll my eyes. Let people fall into pits, let people climb up mountains, let people run all the way around the interior of the Pendants, etc. Additionally: let more settlements and houses have interiors. There's so many of them that are just singular objects with locked doors, but then there is one that is entirely modeled from the inside: just copy that interior and shuffle some stuff around. It will make the world feel a lot more lived in, even if it seems minor.
On a similar note, and this is a super vain hope, but whatever, this is a hopes thread: consider one day stitching more zones together and phasing out loading screens. In the major cities, in all of the Black Shroud/Thanalan/La Noscea, in and out cities, etc. I know they can't possibly stitch every ARR zone together and allow is to fly all around it like it's one world, but they could at least combine the various locales and fill up the sides/between so it feels like it's all part of the same space.

Magitek Garlean job class!
Also Chemist as a healer and Chrono Trigger crossover alliance raid.
watch it be just a couple barrels and chests added in near-aethryte locations. I doubt the zones will look lively even after the updateI'm most excited for the environment updates. One of my main issues with the game is that every zone is just a big empty field. They just can't add a lot of the little details that make areas feel alive and lived in due to current engine limitations. Not only is this uninteresting to look at and play in, it really snaps me out of the story when an NPC says "be careful out there in the jungle" and the "jungle" is five trees and a couple bushes scattered around. Even Radz-at-Han, which is supposed to be a bustling trade city, is mostly just empty rooms.
Going off of the example shown in the graphical update preview it looks like that will be a thing of the past in 7.0 and I can't wait. I hope they do a pass like this on some old zones as well, especially the main cities.
Female Hrothgar turn out really cool and the graphical update fixes all of Viera and Hrothgar's glamour problems.

if so, it'd be a much needed salve..,
<the only negative to that would be the forums balance of even/negative/positive voices would shift.., in a good way.>
(leading to many getting impatient for SE to fix/improve what they want. which in a way, also a good thing, asides asking for them to calm)
For me, my only wish, would be just some reduction to fomo in some sectors, and general varied paths to be able to obtain/complete tasks of certain quests.[ie: not choices. I mean different independent activities to accomplish a goal, faster or Meta'd together, but regardless. Suited to what one cares to do atm. as seen with those unhappy with previous past current and potentially future relics]
Let alone grind reduction for alts covering already treaded ground on a main.
and I guess visual representation of how the Adventurer affects the landscape, npcs, and world.
[we already have indicators of that, but text/menu statuses hardly get people to calm down, when, shared Fates for example say the zone is better off than before. but to the player, they do not see a thing. despite change clearly having occurred. causing reactions of others.]
