The current state of the "MMORPG" FFXIV is unsustainable. Here's why

You can really see this effect when you try to clear in PF early on a patch day when all the "tools" are broken and not yet updated. It's always hilarious how PF quality take a nose dive when no one have something to tell them what to do.

Funny that I have the exact opposite experience. When trying to clear anything in PF on patch day I usually get the people who

1. Know what they're doing
2. Communicate properly when something goes wrong
3. Actually discuss solutions to mechanics
and generally clear the fight relatively quickly.


Instead I find that the longer into it's lifecycle the content is the worse players you will find in PF, despite all the tools and guides, that everyone supposedly crutches on, already being updated.
You get people who can't perform their basic dummy rotation correctly, don't know mechanics, don't talk about it when they're having issues with mechanics, move to the wrong spots constantly despite positions being clearly established beforehand and regularly try to blame anything but themselves.


And Light certainly isn't a glorious utopia of skilled players, maybe it's a difference between NA and EU, who knows.
