If this still rung true then why is ranked CC so unappealing for even the people who like PVP in the competitive sense? What really is there in Ranked currently that is sought after or anything? It's just going to be the same rewards just with a number change. This isn't exactly about participation at this time but rather how there's NO REASON to even go through ranked even if you want the plates/Title when each season is going to reward the same thing? They moved all that 'Prestige' reward to the Malmstones to incentivize overall PVP participation and guess what? It worked. There's been far more people even attempting or doing PVP + obtaining these rewards than ever before. Truthfully I never had a big huge problem with how wow did arena since season 1: All the armor looks are obtainable (Except later on the elite set for those who made it up ranks) and the only real exclusives for PVP were the mount/trophy rewards for the truly dedicated plus a title unique to the season and maybe a special weapon glow you can unlock.

What harm is there really now to allow people to buy the old PVP rewards at this point in the game's lifecycle? There's nothing really on the vendor for the Trophies that scream 'buy me' even for the super casuals. So far the gear sets are recolors for dyability and the old accessories of the past. Only the new pvp weapons are anything worth it if you are into those style of weapons. I want to spend my trophies on something new but i've bought everything possible on the vendor barring gear sets I own already/don't want and weapons i never will use as a glam. Hell they already made a recolor of the Allagan Node Mount be even easier to obtain than the others by just hitting rank 15 of this Malmstone series 3 reward and i couldn't be happier for people and myself who can't stand fighting against systems to get 200 total wins in Frontlines for one of them.

Video Games as a whole have changed. If someone in Korea wanted a prestige like game they are better off playing games designed around these kind of things in the first place. Stuff like Lineage 2 or Black Desert Online. The fact that the Malmstone is a battle pass already makes me feel uneasy despite how easy it was to get them if you do PVP in a regular pace (Took me 6 days from patch day cause i did some extra wanting the rewards a lot). Yes SE is a Japanese company but people are throwing a riot over a damn Lalafell Chair, outfits that 'offend' culture especially in KOREA WITH A CERTAIN SCHOOL OUTFIT plus other things. People are still saying that CC is inferior to the Feast when i'm of the opinion that The Feast was just bleh as a game mode and I much prefer Objective Based Games like capture the flag or Pushing a cart and if CC had a proper 'group' que and ladder reward separate from the solo rewards it could be a better time

When you speak of prestige, there has to be something of Value to seek first in order for it to be valued as such. Like how it's prestige to get an Ultimate weapon (despite people paying for pilots to get theirs) or the prestige of getting <World-Class Troller> after a long grind. Maybe the prestige of collecting all of an expansion's relic weapons exists due to their looks or you want a full set for glam. for PVP what is there that isn't a title that will eventually have multiple people with the same thing on it? Overtime there will eventually be more and more PVP titles due to them all being the exact same. There is nothing different from a season 3 "Of the Final Conflict" title holder from a Season 5 "Of the Final Conflict" Title holder.
If they cared about this "Prestige" still, why has every 'season' best three rank titles been the same exact name? Where "Of the First and Final Conflict" or "Of the Fifth and Final Conflict"? No wait that would also fall into the issue I mentioned before of just slapping on a number to the same reward.

Look just keep handing trophies out for housing i'm sure those PVPers who earn them TOTALLY HAS A HOUSE SOMEWHERE :*)
